    Synopsis:
Until the sudden and mysterious death of his beloved wife Anna, architect Jonathan Rivers (Michael Keaton) considered himself a rational man who would not ordinarily subscribe to such theories. A stranger Raymond Price (Ian McNeice) enters his life, claiming to have heard Jonathan`s wife through EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). Fuelled by his grief as much as curiosity, Jonathan soon finds himself swayed by Richmond`s claims, validated by the recordings of Anna. Jonathan comes to believe when Raymond says of the dead, "I can hear them, I can see them and I can record them." What Jonathan hopes to be true is, in fact, possible: our departed loved ones can reach us... but if they can come through, who, or what else, can also come through?

    Special Features:
Feature length commentary with director Geoffery Sax and Michael Keaton. Hearing is Believing: Actual EVP Sessions. Making Contact: EVP Experts. Recording the After Life at Home.

A rather ordinary supernatural thriller, with a fine (yet not too memorable) cast and a nice plot. Oh, yeah, and some white noise, too.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs and the picture is crystal clear.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good, as well. The surrounds are nicely used and enhance the spooky atmosphere.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a short behind the scenes featurette. That`s it.
Bottom line - a nice thriller, but rather weak in the horror department. Rent it.
