This latest version of the famous story sure takes advantage of today`s technology.
The well known story stays intact despite Cruise`s performance, which is adequate, at best.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs to be seen and the CG animation is awesome.
The DD 5.1 and DTS soundtracks are both excellent. The surrounds are constantly used and provide a very rich sound envelope.
The menus are nicely animated with sound.
My rental version of the movie contained no extras, but the regular 2-disc set does.
Bottom line - a modern adaptation of a scary sci-fi story, which looks and sounds excellent. Enjoy!
