A very intense movie. I cannot say I enjoyed it, though. It included too difficult issues for me (as an Israeli, a Jew, and in general) to "enjoy".
Being a holocaust-films "veteran", I found this movie to be quite unique. For the first time ever, the "good guy" becomes as bad as the "bad guy" and even worse.
I don`t want to give away too many details, but at some point Brad Renfro`s acting was almost too real. While this revealed his acting capabilities, I couldn`t help but hate his character`s guts for this.
The video transfer is good. No compression marks at all. The picture is also clear of any scratches.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is also good. Not amazing, but adequate for this kind of movie.
The behind the scenes featurette is nice but too short.
This movie goes to show, that you don`t have to be a Nazi in order to hate. A very important point, I think. Definitely worth watching.
