An ordinary but very nice disaster movie with some very realistic special effects.
The video transfer is very good. The special effects are stunning at times and the transfer does them right. There are no compression marks at all and the colors are very well balanced. The lava looks especially good.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. The surrounds are used during some action sequences and the total quality of the sound is ok.
The menus are animated and simple.
There are no extras at all on this disk and it`s a shame.
Bottom line - this movie gives you a chance to look at a volcano erupting in the middle of Los Angeles. Enjoy.

Volcano is a great disaster movie. Tommy Lee Jones is great in this and the special effects are great. As for extra features, there`s only the trailer on this DVD. More could have been added for this is a great movie. Maybe the DVD coming out later this month will have more features. This one gets 7/10.
