Review for You Think You Know Me? The Story of Edge

    9 / 10

Edge is one of the most popular and successful superstars in the WWE. His history of winning speaks for itself: King of the Ring, 14 time Tag Champion, 7 time World Heavyweight Champion, 4 time WWE Champion. The list of his achievements goes on and on to the point where you simply cannot believe tha he achieved so much.

This documentary goes into Edge's career from his training and indy days, to working in WWE. Here he joined with high school friend Christian to become one of the greatest tag teams WWE have ever had popularising TLC and multi-men tag matches with the likes of the Hardy Boyz, Dudleyz and more.

The documentary also goes into his neck surgery, return and his affair with Lita and of course his Rated -R push to the top and beyond as Edge became the top superstar feuding with the likes of John Cena, Mick Foley, Batista and The Undertaker.

Throughout the real Edge (Adam Copeland) comes across as a man humbled and honoured by what he was able to achieve and really happy that he was able to become the WWE Superstar that he always wanted to be.

The three disk set comes with a number of matches spanning his career (Though if you want more from his tag team days I do recommend you seek out his previous set). His ladder matches against John Cena and Matt Hardy are great as are his Wrestlemania match against The Undertaker. The highlight for me is his brutal match against the late great Eddie Guerrero which is just one of the best of its kind outside of an ECW event. Also includes his final match against Alberto Del Rio which is a little bittersweet in hindsight that this would be his final match with him retiring due to injury.

If you thought you knew Edge before, this set will certainly put some facts straight and if you didn't know him after watching this documentary you wish you had been along for the ride.
