Page 1 of Hack help please for Phlips DVD 728.

Anyone know how to Hack this machine to play Multi Regional DVD`s? I can find info on the net for most machines but can find nothing for the 728?

Any ideas anyone?

Anyone had any problems after this hack?

My 728 now plays all regions OK - but the screen keeps getting a yellow cast. It`s intermittent, occasionally goes back to the correct colour balance, but nearly always returns to this horrible yellow look. I`ve tried switching from Pal to NTSC on both player and TV (SOny 21inch Trinitron widescreen)... but the picture looks dreadful on both Region 1 and Region 2 disks.
Would appreciate any help... player is brand new so it might just be a faulty machine.

BTW Vicki, 99992 does revert to region 2. I tried this... but still got the yellow cast...

Ooops - so I might be right... I got a different problem: no yellow touch, but all my (S)VCDs now only play without audio, as well as some selfmade DVDs. Do you have/had sound with (S)VCD? I`m not sure if it worked before. But as with your yellow look, it didn`t revert back after changing back the RC to 2.

Wonder if you could help me I have the 728-729 its on all regions and works fine with vcd, but I can`t get it to play svcd at all. All the svcd are down loaded via the net as vcd. Any ideas????
