Most of the time.

Googling a problem (still not solved) simple you might think.
Son's Audi A4 key needed battery replacement. Then didn't work.
Apparently you have to reset/reprogram it.

Impossible to find any common sense on Google.
Once you've gone past all the sponsored links there's limitless YouTube links, pretty well all in an American accent telling you how easy it is, all different and all for different vehicles.
Even the ones featuring Audi are not same model as my sons vehicle.

That sounds like a very specific problem but I'm sure you've had the same for other searches because I have.

risk of sounding patronising do you use quotes so it will search for exact match?

e.g. "audi a4" will find that exact match, rather than pages containg audi and a4

Fully aware I can be guilty of basic errors.
Not had a great deal of luck using quotes. I tend to page down the results and do my own filtering.

Did you know there's more than the one page of search results! (irony mode off)

I have used Duck Duck Go before but I suppose I'd have to set as the default to get a proper handle on it.
Never heard of Start page I'll give it a look.

Sorted son's key basically by just pushing buttons and trying stuff so not sure what actually did it.

I've given up with Google and switched to Duck Duck Go. At worse the result sets seem the same, at best it actually has the word I searched for on the page.
