Really upset to hear this.  Though his output was variable and sometimes 'difficult' he was a really creative artiste. From his work with the Velvets right through to his more recent releases, he was always 1000% more interesting and creative than most of what gets released these days. RIP Lou. You'll be sorely missed.

Funnily enough the piped music in Boston Pizza started playing WOTWS as we left last night, no idea if coincidence or tribute.

RIP Lou.

Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.

I must have worn my Transformer album through to the other side back in the day.
One of the rare occasions when the words Icon and Legend are neither out of place or an exaggeration.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

Huge fan (though agree some of his work was patchy). Used to listen to him a lot as a yoot.

Got to see him play on his Magic and Loss tour after Andy Warhol died. Not his best work, but glad I got the chance to see him live.
