yes, I know it`s the best thing in the world.. but stop RAMMING it in my eyes in every advert break! I DON`T HAVE £5,000 TO SPEND ON HI DEF!

and if you think £5,000 is an unrealistic figure for Hi-def.. check out the hardware forum.........

£1000 for a 32" samsung LCD, £300 for the Sky hd box. I am guessing you all ready have Sky as that is where most of the ads are being shown, so £10 extra a month. £120 a year. I make that £1420, not £5000. Yes you can spend that, you can spend 10 times that.

I see plenty of ads for cars at £40`000 Does not mean a new car can not be got for £7000

I think it`s just the whole perception of TV land that EVERYONE can afford HD, as an Xbox 360 owner, that`s all they bang on about.. I would love to go HD but it`s just so far out of reach at the moment...
£1000 for a TV is a LOT of money. and it`s one of those things where I know I could get a set for £500.. but it`d be rubbish quality ......

It`s something I deperately would love to get, but can`t believe that Sky want to charge an extra £10 a month for more lines of resolution for a start. Then the price of the sets... and the longevity of them.. (I know you know all about this) damn.. I think I`m gonna have to rob a bank or something...

What is the point of these. They have all these nice colours and swirly paterns but for who. If you aint got HD you cant see the benifit and if you have then WOW. Bit of a waste of time advertising to someone who has it though?

Not really doc. You can advertise a car to someone who hasn`t got it because they can see what they are getting for there money. However if sky keep advertising HD to people with a basic TV how are they going to see what they will be gatting? They could go to a shop like yours and see but thats different. My point is how can you advertise HD on TV to people that dont have HD?

Does that make sense?? :/

I shall change my argument slightly.

Sky tell you the pic is better but you can`t tell that from the ad. You go and have a demo.

Car company says car has best handerling at the price. You cant tell that from the ad. You will have a test drive.

Same thing to me.
