Blues Brothers 25th Anniversary Edition, Aug 30th 2005

Hi all

Just preordered this for £11.95 and im really looking forward to owning this finally on dvd. It contains two version on its own discs (1 disc per version). There is a theatrical version which is suposably 100% from when it was released and is stereo 2.0 and in widescreen. Then there is a extended version which ive always wanted to see and its in DD 5.1 and widescreen.

Cant wait to get it and turn the volume up and put it on the home cinema system in my living room. On my nice 28inch WS tv :)

Anyone else looking forward to this?

Oh and the theatrical version will have less compression as it gets a whole dvd to itself and should be very clear :) or so i`ve heard.

Love your Work!

I`ve got the extended version - to be honest there`s not much different - just the garage that gives the car flip power scene, more running around and dancing in prison and a few other bits and bobs.

It was already a classic film.

Had to laugh.....

Unlike the Blues Brothers, Travis Bell isn`t exactly on a holy mission.

The 32-year-old Indianapolis man is trying to return to the film`s locations and simulate as many stunts as he can in his Bluesmobile replica car, a 1974 Dodge Monaco signed by Dan Aykroyd.

His friends are filming the stunts for a DVD he plans to sell on the Internet -- "Return to Chicago 2005.`` A preview is posted at www.blues brotherscentral.com.

So far, Bell has driven across Daley Plaza and pulled up on the sidewalk in front of the County Building, just as the Blues Brothers did. He`s raced down Lake Street at 70 mph and driven across the same beach the Blues Brothers crossed in Wauconda. He`s also torn through the inside of the abandoned Dixie Square Mall.

Unlike the movie, all of his stunts have been done without permission from any authorities.

"We`re maniacs,`` he admits.

Joliet Travis just doesn`t have the same ring, does it? The State Troopers will probably shoot him first.
