X files season 9 boxset.....

Bravesoul (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 13th March 2005, 14:06

Hi there folks.....

Someone may have mentioned this on here already....... But hey I`ll go ahead and say it anyway LOL.....

I just recieved the final 3 boxsets of the X-files in the post yesterday from Play.com, thats series 7.... 8 and 9. At last I have the full set, even though I am still on disc 4 of series 3. So I have a long way to go until I have watched them. But hey I watched them all the first time around, so it`s just for sheer entertainment

Oh I bet you are thinking, wait a minute did this guy have a point....

The problem I have and I`m not sure if it`s just my boxset here, but on the back of the box for series 9 it says "All 19 season seven episodes"......... Wait a minute didn`t I get them on oh let me see the SERIES 7 BOXSET maybe ?

When I opened the boxset it has the correct season 9 discs, the boxset itself its right just a missprint on the back

Is everyone elses the same or am I the only one ?

It`s a misprint - there are 19 (20 if you count the finale as 2) episodes in season 9.

What you may not know is that all the season 9 sets apart from Region 1, have a 90 minute documentary called "The Making of the Truth" missing.

I have been hearing that each of the M lock re-releases contains a token that you collect to send away for something, does the finale 3 boxsets explain exactly what it is you are collecting the tokens for?

Yes if u read the thing that u put the stickers on it says u get a free x files box to put all your dvd box sets in.

Btw did you know the M-lock dvd box sets are £23.99 from www.choicesdirect.com its the cheapest ive seen them and thats where i get them. I think play does them for ALOT more so im just letting you know incase you need to replace them.

Yea I posted on another forum that The X-Files Boxsets are £23.99 each from Choices Direct but didnt post the info here as I am pretty sure it has already been mention in the Bargain Buckets section.

Also, Play.com are doing the sets for £26.99 so not alot more but enough to make people order from elsewhere as everyone is always looking for away to save a few quid.

I got my boxsets from Choices Direct - the last three boxsets came on the 14th, so my tokens have already been sent. ;) My season 9 boxset says there`s only 19 episodes, but it doesn`t have any typos or anything (I don`t think so anyway).

What I`d like to know, is if anyone has found the games in any of the boxsets. I`ve been looking on the season 7 bonus disc, and I can`t find the game Maitreya 2.0 anywhere on the disc. I`ve looked on my computer, but there only seems to be VOB files like you`d expect. Can anyone help?

Thanks
