Just got one in Tesco, they had quite a lot.

If only I hadn`t already got pressies for everyone. Guess I`ll have to keep it for myself! :D

Edit. This is not USB2 incase that`s important to you. Apart from that I love it!

Bought me one of these last night. My mum is a bit miffed, she bought a 256mb MP3 player for my nephew for £20 from sainsburys just a week ago.
The headphones aren`t to good, sounds really tinny.I`ll be using my sony ones for it. And the battery lasted about 3 songs... that could be cause it`s a cheapo battery they include and it might have been sat around on a warehouse shelf for ages. I`ve just bought me some rechargeable AAA`s from ebay, will see if they last longer in it. Bought it to last an 8 hour shift... I don`t wanna be carting in cases of batteries to last me through the day!

I bought one today and the girl on the checkout accidentally scanned it twice and just after I had paid for all my shopping said Quote:
Sorry the MP3 player has gone through twice if you go to the desk they will refund you

I thought the total was a bit high but I assumed I had been charged the original £19.97 for the MP3 which I would have sorted with customer services as you get the item free if you have been overcharged.

Took it to the very nice lady on customer services who refunded me £19.94 and let me keep the MP3 for free so it works the same as their overcharging policy :D .

ive been thinking of geting a small cheapish mp3 player for a few weeks know. just to have when im out, travelling etc.

i havent had one before. do they connect to the computer via usb? and do they then show up as another drive, like when i hook my digi camera i can just drag and drop the pics?

also with batteries, im not going to be using it for long spells at a time, but would i be best getting a battery charger or would normal batteries be ok.

cheers.

However what if you had definitely bought two and you happen to drop one in the shopping trolley and got home and realised your mistake. Therefore you should not have been able to claim free one due to cashiers mistake. Surely this is some kind of scam. Very :o

What you are suggesting is theft >:( , the only mistake made was by the cashier who double scanned my item and probably realised as she had only taken the security tag off the ONE MP3 player I had as I said in my post above.

No it`s actually Tesco policy which is in place to offer a means of compensation for customers wrongly charged or overcharged for items.

The girl that served me didn`t take the security device off, I was stopped by a big scary security man as I walked through the door! I bought my shopping first, then my mum bought shopping, I had to take all her stuff out of the shopping trolley to find what had caused the alarms to go off, all the while getting the evils from the security guard!

Just sorting out the songs I wanna listen to in work tomorrow before loading on the MP3 player. :D
