RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

This place isnt the place it once was. :( I insist you ban me, before I scare all the children!
You see I have seen the future and DVD becomes Betamax overnight.

Goodbye all you lemmings. See you on the other side.

Goodbye DanB - Are you sure you`re not Phil Collins?

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

DanB: You didn’t deserve that short curt reply. Sorry!
So here’s a long curt reply instead.

Before I start I think drinkschiller is a disgrace. But you just cant beat freedom of speech, can you?
Now had I said that? - Ooooohhhhhh! It wouldnt bare thinking about.

>>Has anyone complained about my behaviour? - Names and reasons, perhaps?

Errr yes, MOST of the people on the threads you contribute end up complaining about you - most on the thread itself, and MANY in emails to me also - I`m SICK of having to deal with you.

Isn’t it a pity you didn’t have the intelligence to find out the real cause of the complaint? And more importantly the cause of the cause?
By looking back in any thread you would have seen the catalyst that sparked the complaint.
You do not give even one example so I cannot refute you.
I am a great responder to insults. I know I shouldnt do it but I shouldntbe forced to take all the credit either.

>>You are always a first class spoilsport. You don’t like the pressure so you put your foot down. Is DVD-Reviewer based in Oldham?
Or have I just put you off eating curry?

A typically biggotted comment from you - what has my eating habits got to do with anything ?

Typically Bigoted? So that’s where you’re coming from. I’d guessed it all along. You’re the Thought Police! And its only now that you come out and reveal the true reasons.
I don’t trust Muslims, so I am a bigot! Yawn. I’ve heard it all before.
A man in your position really needs to get rid of that Politically Correct attitude. It’s stifles debate and puts you in a week position to argue the merits of tolerance.
I dont like the like of PC pr*cks. Come war time, the real men will be wiping your nose. (I cleaned it up, as I`m a stickler to the rules)

>>If you don’t like the so-called `rants`, why keep reading them?
I will never understand this Mary Whitehouse mentality.

My job as moderator unfortunately means I have to read your rubbish.

Flaming from a Mod! It just wont do!
It is not the first time I have had this and you are not the worst offender either. But if you don’t follow your own rules, don’t expect others to always either.

>>IS THIS A DEBATE FORUM OR NOT?
NO IT`S NOT - it`s a DVD forum. You want somewhere to peddle your debates then run your own damn website.

You sound less and less credible by the second!
Take a look at the General Forum topics for the last year.
Funnily enough, they weren’t all started by the bigoty bigot.

>>As for GruntBoy. You are right (for once in your life!).
Not exactly beastiality but Necrophilia instead.
That should cheer you up then. No need to get your well used, jack-boots on! http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=113&Thread=58095&Page=4&Type=1

He doesn`t exactly come up to your level of attack.

You mean you dont have as much work to do, reading his comments as you do mine.
As always you don’t ever look for the root cause.
You have a very bigoted view regarding me. Make a case rather than stating fiction as fact. Lay out your complaints and I will lay out my defence. Innocent until proven guilty and all of that sh*t.

>>Perhaps you should consider reading other forum contributors posts too? Creating a ‘worst offenders’ table of violations of your forums rules rather than issuing ‘written warnings’ (Fatwas) with no explanation.

You are so facile - I have spent (wasted) a lot of my time giving very detailed warnings to you over the last few days.

No detailed warnings really! You are certainly not even-handed with them either. No you are simply WRONG again. Trying to make a valid case for my dismissal?

>>I confess to treating you Mods differently though. Well-deserved collateral damage - and all `mates` of the worst offender ever - The Ironduke!!!

Chip on your shoulder about Dukey ? Not a mate of mine, but he *does* spend quite a lot of time helping people via these forums - something which seems beyond you.

No chips on my shoulders. I keep telling you guys it is WISDOM!
Just merely pointing out your double standards, which you parade a lot.

>>But it all doesn’t really matter; I get complaint after complaint from you Mods while the others get away with blue murder.
But you wont find me complaining to the likes of you. Oh no!
Uniquely here, I do not fear or hinder free-speech!

It`s not free you`re right - this Forum is not some kind of damn public service. Reviewer is run by people, and we`re not here to give you a sounding board.

Anyone that shares your view on life is welcome? Have I scared that many customers away? It’s the message you disagree with. Just be honest enough to say so. Your forum is contributed to by people too. yes that damn public.
You certainly have a right to refuse who you serve. Just state valid reasons I and will p*ss off gladly. Losing you dosh is a valid reason!

>>Feel proud you halted yet another monster thread, that ‘some’ people pointed out as `interesting` - Back to Dullsville. :(

If I`ve stopped a thread full of your ranting and point scoring then I consider some of my time not wasted.

Point scoring? My only failure. I agree - But ask yourself who tends to start the point scoring. No don’t do that. Do your job properly. Whip off those shades and look back in the thread before the moment I start to p*ss you off.
It’s amazing what even a modicum of research will uncover.
Take this message here. I refute your allegations one-by-one therefore I must be point-scoring!
If you have any future complaints about me (providing I’m not banned) or anyone else here, state the complaint in detail and at the time. Then the complainee will be allowed the courtesy of responding, apologising or refuting.

That’s how to moderate, isnt it!

Anyhow are your opinions worthier than anyone elses here?

You seem to think so:-

What you`re saying may well be nonsense, but your spelling and grammer certainly are !

There have been plenty of stockmarket tumbles in the past, and the USA have never seen fit to blow up thousands of innocent people because of it. Also, there is no guarrantee that this tragedy won`t make the economies FAR worse. By the way, what on earth do you think the AMERICANS care about the single currency ? Or are you suggesting that it`s the UK or some other European country that arranged this ?!

With regards explosions within the towers, don`t you think that would be expected ? With aircraft fuel burning at over 2000 degrees ? And also there were a lot of confused reports at the time of the incident - most people on the ground thought they were being bombed simply because they never saw the planes.

Your suggestions hold very little water.

I also want to add that painful though it might be, Bear has a valid point.

In fact, his actions, and the responses are very similar to the kinds of problems we see around the world at the moment.

Bear is pointing out the Americans have been employing double standards with regards International terrorism - allowing their people to support the IRA on one hand, and then bombing Iraq and supporting the Israeli occupation of Palestine on the other. That`s a fair comment and a debate that should be had at some stage - believe me, the IRA thing is particularly close to my heart. (If Bush wants to wage war on the sponsors of terrorism, then it`s time to proclaim war on themselves.)

However, the way Bear has expressed his views on this forum have simply been ugly, uncaring and unsensitive. If he has those views to express, then now, in the wake of all this death and devastation, is not the time to be doing it, and CERTAINLY not in those terms. For God`s sake Bear, show some humanity.

Extrapolating this to the world situation, some Muslims of this world, or Palestinians - even Bin Laden, probably have genuine gripes about the way the world has treated them. These people should have their concerns heard. HOWEVER, they should not EVER resort to the kind of barbarism and unacceptable behaviour that we witnessed through these acts of terrorism this week.

I only hope that the world can deal with these problems a bit better after learning from this experience, but people like Bear will never make things any easier.

DanB

Opinionated? Bigoted? Maybe!

The point is, who denied your right to free speech? Not bigotty old me!
Go to Afghanistan if you want those standards. Do it now! ;)

Ban free speech if you want, but I wont ever be able to see it as being banned.
I will consider it being Tallibanned. ;)

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

DanB: You actually beginning to sound a lot like me! :)

Take care.

RE: Where is this going to end?

Answer: A temporary World Peace or Total Annihilation.

There are two obvious problems that need solving. All our mainstream politicians know it but most are too scared to voice it openly.

The overwhelming reason why America is hated by Muslims is its monetary and moral support for the Jews in Israel.
All Muslims will tell you this.
By withdrawing US support for Zionist Jews, Israel will be left with NO friends and be forced to back down or face another holocaust.
The good decent Jews will leave their `stolen` promised land and be assimilated by America.
They would be made very welcome there, as we all know what great allies they are.
Who cares about the rest?

The second problem is really not so easy to solve. Muslims stick together no matter what!
Some `fair-minded` Muslims condemn Saddam Hussain and Bin Laden but will do nothing to stop these evil men.
America and other countries that do act are constantly criticised for causing the suffering of innocent Muslims.
My solution is to offer the `safer` Islamic governments, military assistance in order that Muslims can go in to places like Afghanistan and Iraq, and root out these evil dictators without infidels (like us) causing offence.
We can then see the caring peace-loving Muslims motives and instincts for what they are!

I very much doubt America will back down in the face of this latest terrorist outrage and particularly while our politicians stand side-to-side with the Americans, no matter what.
I have very grave doubts concerning Islamic fair-mindedness while Bin Laden is treated as an Icon throughout the Islamic world and Palestinians cheer on Scud missile attacks on Israel.

We should test both of these before we decide on Nuclear War. Nuclear war is my bet as Muslims wont fight a war against Hussain and his like!

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

Tonight we have news that over a million Muslims (not 70,000 as was the case last night) within Pakistan and Afghanistan, are getting ready to rise up and replace Bin Laden if we kill him or other Muslims.

Similar uprisings are occuring in Indonesia, Oman and Palestine.

Terrorists or feedom-fighters, every single one of these followers will be ISLAMIC!

Our own Muslims here, who originally supported the coalitions military offensive now realise that America and the UK werent just bluffing after all.

See how quick they change their tune? Now they intend to demonstrate on our streets. Whats the next step? Rushdie riots?

Seeing the hot-head spokesman for the MCB (Miserable Cowardly Bastards) tonight, I see yet another fundamentalist hiding his true allegiance. He is not with Britain, but with Muslims worldwide.
INTERN or EXPEL, but doing nothing is not an option.

See the Oct 8th 180 degree turnaround at http://www.mcb.org.uk

Blair`s looking pretty stupid now! While Blunket still wants more Asyllum seekers here!!!

Dont fool yourself I`m in a minority on all this, just because the more verciferous views are against what I say.
Even if I was, it wouldn`t hinder me at all.

I merely intend to educate those by taking away the comfort blankets issued by the MI5/MI6 controlled UK media services.

If you wish, dont believe my message and have a good night sleep.

Of course, I could just be making everything up to stir up bigoted hatred, with the entire planets media being co-conspirators.
And Blair is using all this to have yet another freebie holiday abroad.

Here`s a joke to cheer you up: ;)

[Father and son in New York in 2035]

Father: "Here son stood the twin towers."

Son: "What were the twin towers?"

Father: "Two tall buildings that the Arabs bombed in 2001."

Son: "What are Arabs?"

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

GruntBoy: You really must be more careful about jokes on masturbation and beastiality to Muslims. Most will simply kill you for it!

Umem: I saw on the 10 o`clock BBC1 News (hidden somewhat at the end of a related news story), that the Muslim Council of Britain are urging Muslims in the UK to take to the streets and protest PEACEFULLY against our boys military action in Afghanistan.

Where do you stand now? And what happens if the UK Muslims are ignored by us infidels passing by them in the street?

I feel like Nostradamus amongst fools at times.

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

close to the edge: You are damn right.

Anthrax in British citizens confirmed. Anthrax now found on a computer keyboard too.

Devilishly clever these Muslims!...I must stop typing. ;)

I`m very fearful of Ramadan this year. It is supposed to be a time of peace amongst Muslims worldwide.
In recent years, religious fervour has been strong, with Jihads/Fatwas issued every day on us infidels. They just cant control themselves.

Also Anthrax has an incubation period of 60 days (maximum).
Releasing spores a couple of months before Christmas should get the fundamentalist message across well.

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

I am not happy! Making the odd joke is my way of dealing with life. I simply wont let these buggers get me down.

I like most Muslims (up to a point). That point is hidden from most people as it only comes out when they are offended.
If you would like to test this point, go up to one in the street and say `moss zibbee`.
You will die quickly if you’re lucky. Slowly if you’re not.
Seriously don’t do this!
Insults that we might throw at each other, do not hit a raw nerve with us. Most Muslims are the opposite.

I actually believe the only viable outcome involves nuclear war - total annihilation of religious fundamentalists everywhere.
Tony Blair may soon believe this too.
No matter how hard he tries, he just will never get Muslims to understand this is not another Christian Crusade.
It is never allowed for an infidel to kill a Muslim! We can’t win peace with rules such as these.
Anyhow Islam will never being able to live at peace with infidels. It is against their teachings. When they are more numerous enough… ouch!

The Pakistan government state that their hot-heads only make up 20% of the population. If you`re fanatical enough, 20% will win you power over a peaceful opposition anytime.
Pakistan has at least 6 nuclear weapons. The British press state there is no way (yet) of delivering the payload over to us.
They ignore cargo ships, asylum-seekers, backs of vans, channel tunnel etc and a myriad of other ways.
Should fanatics wish to wipe us out, we are finished!
After all Atomic bomb material may be no larger than a golf ball.
I`ve smuggled porn into the country larger than enough nuclear material to wipe us all out!

Events tonight are only contributing to my `theory`. Pakistani`s inside Pakistan itself are openly talking about destroying Pakistan for entertaining the devil. "Satan" is what Muslims call the West.
Muslims must destroy Satan, so the Koran says.
Palestinians are also turning on their own police forces.
Believe me, if a large number of British rose up here, we could bring down our government too.

It’s just a matter of time. We are all going to die sometime, I just look at that time as being sooner rather than later.

IMPORTANT:
No Islamic organisation in our country will agree to our current military action.
No Muslim condemned the Salmon Rushdie Fatwa.
No Muslim in our country supported our campaign against Saddam Hussein.
There will never be a meeting of minds with Muslims and infidels as we are not fit to wipe their arse.

Islam can produce thousands of people to replace Bin Laden if he were killed tonight.
After all if you were going to enter paradise with 75 virgins waiting for you, wouldn’t you be tempted?

I believe all of the above. It would be easier not to, but then I would be lying to myself.
Did you see the Islamaphobic thread I posted here? (Now closed)

http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=113&Thread=55312&Type=1

My experiences of Islam are laid out there. We are doomed!

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

I do certainly not distract from anyones opinion! Blinding the issue? How?

I`m happy to hear all views, even those who dont want to hear mine.
I criticise only those who reject my findings without giving reasons.
Tychobear/GruntBoy are two here that share this trait, using belittling insults instead.

If there is something you disagree with, then I am yet to find out what it is. Umem has attempted to put his views on Islam, I respect him for that.

War is Bad. Of course it is!

I really think your problem is with the awful truth and not me.
If its our karma to die then so be it. But I will go out fighting!

TychoBear: That`s a shame about our little spats here. I always enjoyed wiping the floor with Rocket scientists. Your talents will soon be required elsewhere, perhaps?

GruntBoy: Grow up and be a GruntMan

Personal insults are for the playground. Insult me if you wish but you cannot hurt me.

Umem: The MCB support the Tallibans in that they agree they are fit to try Bin Laden themselves where the USA are not.

Now, from what I know about the Talliban (from anal trembling passages in todays Daily Telegraph, I darent post here), putting terrorists in a position to try other terrorists isnt a bright idea.

http://www.mcb.org.uk/071001.html ZERO Support for us from the MCB is confirmed!
Now had the coalition bombed Israel for stealing Palestinian land, I am sure the MCB would be VERY HAPPY to take part!

But Nazi`s were people too. Just remember that!

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

HaGGis/GruntBoy:

Islam isnt a Race! So how can I be racist?
Neither am I a right-wing bigot!
I`m a socialist infidel with no party affiliations.

Is everything so black and white to you that you can pigeon-hole anyone who disagrees with your points of view?

I will expect Umem and his large band of like-minded Muslim supporters of our Government to parade with pride throught the streets of our land. Many non-Muslims Brits (me included), will come out and offer them support.

BTW GruntBoy "Brits" isnt racist. LOL

You guys really must stop all this fowl lewd drivvle and get back to debating the point at hand.

Oooooooohhh Behave!

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

Umem,

No canvassing yet, I still need my head! ;)

The British Council of Muslim and the British League of Muslims both concur that the Talliban should be the one that try Bin Laden and not the West! They totally disagree with any military action in Afghanistan.

I`m sorry if I have promoted these groups as representative of Islamic opinion in this country if they are not. Your quibble is with the BBC, not me, as they were chosen for the interviews.

You in favour of our Governments policy? Good. Now get you views aired as others of your faith are misrepresenting you!

I dont hate Muslims, I just dont like Islam.
The News is full of these misrepresentations of Islam by their own Clerics so I doubt they consider the passages irrelevant or out-of-context. The support for British soldiers/airmen by UK Muslims is ZERO. Just as I foretold!

Neither am I a pro-American dumbass.

Umem: I`ll give you your jew, I mean due ;) - America did start all this by its support for Israel.
They make it far worse by using Jews to promote their foreign policy.

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

Andrew Bruce: I would NOT be behind any new law that hinders freedom of speech.
I hope people here dont really think that of me.
Banning parts of the Koran that instigate violence will never happen here as no politician has the `balls` to stop it.
I merely posed it has an interesting ambiguity, but you can be sure my views will be banned long before yourself and Blair will wake up.
The best thing to do with British Muslims who support the Talliban (all here) is to intern or deport them to Kabul.

DanB: Before 11th Sept, America was the largest aid contributor to Afghanistan.
Bin Laden stole the food supplies and has probably stock-piled it for the months ahead.
Starving people in Afghan still see Bin Laden as a hero.
Do we really want more Bin Ladens growing up on western grain while plotting to destroy ALL infidel nations?

Not I. Let them Muslims feed them.

Tychobore: and the rest...

No I wont f*ck off!
"Freedom of expression and freedom of opinion are fine." "Is it time to ban Happy?"

Sums you up!

If I have quoted anything out of context from the Koran, I will correct it. But I havent, so I wont!

Read the Koran before you argue about it with me.

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

Will do DanB. ;)

Did you see the British League of Muslims and the British Council of Muslims siding with the Talliban last night on BBC News?

Intern the traitors now, while our brave men are away and unable to protect us.

As for the food parcels, I think its a very BAD idea to feed our future enemy. Should we have dropped food parcels over Nazi Germany?
Only after the war was over.

OIL/Muslim VOTES are the reasons why we tolerate the lack of support for British action in Afghanistan.

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

To and all the bleeding-heart liberals who think we should spare a thought for the Afghan civilians or who think Islam is a great religion, I say:

Read the Koran.

Also travel to an Islmaic country and find out for yourself how they really think, rather than relying on the likes of Tony Blair to brainwash you with his PC tripe.

I`m sure you are too lazy to read the Koran and now must be too afraid to travel to an Islamic country so here`s your education for free. ;)

Remember the Koran quotation which has been quoted again and again since September 11th, including by George Bush, Tony Blair, Iain Duncan-Smith and an endless string of journalists?

"Whoever kills a soul is like one who has killed the whole of Mankind."

Even our great leader Bliar had to misquote the Holy book, in order to suppress the fears of us infidels.

This sentence is at the heart of the Politically Correct campaign to ensure that the war fever against Islamic terrorists doesn`t lead to an explosion of hostility against Muslims per se.
After all, isn`t it clear evidence that Islam is at root a peaceful, loving religion - Christianity with a towel on its head?

It would be, if it were genuine! But the problem is that this quotation is a Politically Correct fabrication.
Just look at what Surah 5. Ayat 32 actually says:

"… whoever kills a soul, not in retaliation for a soul or corruption in the land, is like one who has killed the whole of mankind; and whoever saves a life is like one who saves the lives of all mankind. Our messengers came to them with the clear proof; but afterwards many of them continued to commit excesses in the land."

So, far from killing never being allowed, it is permitted under the law of "an eye for an eye" in the case of murder, or in the case of "corruption in the land."

The very next Ayat continues:

"Indeed, the punishment of those who fight Allah and His Messenger and go around corrupting the land is to be killed, crucified, have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or to be banished from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this life, and in the life to come theirs will be a terrible punishment."

Which makes it all too clear that while the Koran teaches its followers to respect the sanctity of life of other good Muslims, those who "fight Allah and his Messenger (i.e. Muhammad)" should be killed and mutilated or banished.
Some 6,000+ individuals in the World Trade Centre got Option Number One, many of them almost to the letter.
The most cursory reading of the Koran makes it clear that, to a good Muslim, the commissions and omissions of key Western governments - particularly the USA and the UK - and of the assorted usurers and exploiters of the poor in the World Trade Centre, do indeed qualify as anti-Allah and corrupting the land.
The unfortunate cleaners and caterers seem to be written off as collateral damage.

But surely, says the DVD-Reviewer Mods, reared on half-forgotten Christian ideas of forgiveness and chivalry towards non-combatants (Hiroshima and Dresden and a thousand other instances notwithstanding), Allah wouldn`t condone the deaths of innocent civilians in such a Holy War?
Well, here`s Allah`s view of collateral damage. As you`ll see it`s even broader and blunter than George Dubya`s:

Surah 27, Ayat 48 And there were in the city nine individuals, who worked corruption in the land and did not set things right.....

50. They schemed a scheme and We schemed a scheme, while they were unaware.
51. See then what was the outcome of their scheming: We destroyed them together with all their people.
52. Their houses are in ruin, on account of their wrongdoing. There is a sign for a people who know.
53. And we delivered those who believed and were God-fearing.

The significance of Ayats 48, 50, 51 and 52 is plain to see. 53 needs a moment`s more thought. It tells the devout Muslim that there can have been no innocent victims anyway (even those who professed to be Muslim but took their pay packets from the Great Satan), because Allah would have delivered them by making them late for work that day.

There are a couple of references to Unbelievers which advise toleration and state that an individual`s religious belief, or lack of it, is a personal matter between them and Allah. But these pluralist passages are heavily outnumbered by condemnation of Unbelievers typified by S.67.9

"O Prophet, struggle with the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and deal harshly with them. Their refuge shall be Hell, and what an evil resort!"

The thoroughly reasonable S.10.99 asks Muslims:

"Had your Lord willed, everyone on earth would have believed. Will you then compel people to become believers?"

But only a few pages before, the same `Word of God` exhorts the faithful to "fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them see how harsh you can be." (s.9123). Small wonder that some Muslims make genuinely good neighbours, while others are from hell. And the problem is that the infernal passages outnumber the ecumenical ones. S.22 contains more classics:

19. To the unbelievers, garments of fire shall be cut up and over their heads boiling water shall be poured;
20. Whereby whatever is in their bellies and in their skins shall be melted.
21. And for them are iron rods (which, the helpful footnote in my edition explains, are "To beat their heads with."

Nor is this vision of a burning Mosque in Scotland just a matter of damnation in the next world. The Koran also includes frequent exhortations to the Muslim Faithful to fight against the unbelievers in the here and now. Surah 9 provides some good examples:

38. O believers, what is the matter with you? If you are told: "March forth in the Way of Allah," you cling heavily to the ground. Are you satisfied with the present life rather than the Hereafter….
39. If you do not march forth, He will inflict a very painful punishment on you…
41. Charge forth, on foot or mounted, and struggle with your possessions and yourselves in the Way of Allah.
Such passages reinforce the message of S.4.95:

Those of the believers who stay at home while suffering from no injury are not equal to those who fight for the Cause of Allah with their possessions and persons.
The message is reinforced time and time again. There`s S.9.29:

Fight those among the People of the Book …. who do not profess the true religion (i.e. Jews and Christians), till they pay the poll-tax out of hand and submissively.
Or S.60.4:
You have had a good example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are quit of you and what you worship apart from Allah. We disbelieve in you. Enmity and hatred have arisen between you and us forever, till you believe in Allah alone."

Nor is it just a matter of `hatred` in spirit. The Koran recommends it in the highly practical form of ethnic cleansing as well:

S.14.13 & 14 Then their Lord revealed to them: "We shall destroy the wrongdoers (who refused to accept Allah). And We will make you dwell in the land after them.
S.59.2 It is He Who drove out the unbelievers among the People of the Book (i.e. Jews and Christians) from their homes at the first mustering.
S.33.60 If the hypocrites, those in whose hearts is a sickness and those who spread lies in the city, do not desist, We will certainly urge you against them and then they will not dwell with you therein as neighbours but for a short time.
The same theme runs through parts of Surah 33, with the addition of a promise to faithful Muslims of more countries coming under their sway in the future:
27. And he bequeathed to you their lands, their homes and their possessions, together with land you have never trodden.

It`s quite likely that many members of the Muslim community, having come to regard non-Muslims as friends and to grow fond of their adopted country, may be inclined to shut all this bigoted nonsense out of their minds.
But if they, or their often alienated children - read the Koran, they will find passage after passage warning them against taking unbelievers as friends and against the tolerance needed to keep the peace in a multiracial state:

S.2.216 You are enjoined to fight, though it is something you dislike.
217. Fighting (in the Holy Month) is a great sin; but to debar people from Allah`s sacred Way and to deny him and the sacred Mosque, and to drive people out of it is a greater sin in Allah`s sight. Sedition (idolatry and the corruption of Muslims) is worse than murder.

If those who interpret the Koran literally (as all good Muslims should) were to start putting all this `blood-thirsty` advice into practice as soon as they first arrived in a new country, the natives would probably wake up and smell the fan-propelled s***. But Allah is described repeatedly in His book as a "schemer," and S.4.101 suggests His people are clearly entitled to follow His example in order to keep the opposition off their backs:

And when you journey in the land, you are not at fault if you shorten the prayer for fear that the unbelievers will harm you. The unbelievers are your manifest enemies.

But that advice is only applicable when the Muslims are too few to stand a chance of winning the fight which the Koran stresses is their religious duty. Once their numbers increase - and they don`t need to be in the majority if the other side isn`t keen on confrontation. S.8.65

"O Prophet, urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast men among you, they will defeat two hundred; and if there are a hundred they will defeat a thousand of the unbelievers, because they are a people who do not understand."

Is this ten per cent rule just a forgotten verse in a dusty book? The answer may perhaps be seen in places like Burnley and Bradford.

The soft-hearted among our own people, those "who do not understand" what is going on, will no doubt object that `moderate` Muslims tend to pick and choose to follow the few tolerant verses rather than obeying the overall aggressive and intolerant tone of the Koran. No doubt many do, but they are warned against such Western-style tolerance in no uncertain terms in S.2.85:

Do you, then, believe in one part of the Book and disbelieve in another? The reward of those among you who do that is nothing but disgrace in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be turned over to the most severe punishment.

At the well-publicised meeting in Downing Street with self-appointed Muslim community leaders, Tony Blair claimed that:

"there is no contradiction between being a Muslim and being a British citizen."

For the `some` Westernised Muslim who goes along with the family religion without giving it much thought this may well be the case. But for any good Muslim, who reads the Koran and accepts its claims to be the literal word of Allah, the situation is different. There are several points in the Koran in which Muslims are ordered not to obey unbelievers, and these are taken by fundamentalists to reject any form of government which is not a strict theocracy run exclusively by Muslim clerics.
When such people reject rulers such as Saddam Hussein and Gadaffi as `unislamic`, what are the chances of them obeying the gang of `Sodomites` and infidels which calls itself `New Labour`?

Anyone who has just seen the leader of the British League of Muslims tonight on BBC News24 will see their support for the Talliban Muslims over our own British government. Even the BBC couldnt get a Muslim to support our action!!!

S.3.149 O believers, if you obey the unbelievers, they will turn you upon your heels ("thus," says the commentary, "turning you back from your true religion")
S.25.52 So, do not obey the unbelievers and strive against them with it (the Koran) mightily.

Perhaps most pertinent of all under the present circumstances, now that Britain is at war against huge numbers of Muslims on the coat-tails of our American `allies` is S9.73:

"As to the unbelievers, they are friends of one another. If you do not this (that is, if you do not support the Muslims and subdue the unbelievers) there will be great sedition and corruption in the land."

Back to the start again - And our extermination!

I expect liberals get your comfort from Tony Blair and other do-gooder, lentil eating, peace campaigners, most of who would not have gone to war against even the Nazis.

All I will say to you is Remember that Downing street interview where Mr. Bliar, claimed to have gained a greater insight into the "Islamic mind" by studying the Koran, hence his ability to quote Surah 5, Ayat 32 with such assurance.
"Whoever kills a soul is like one who has killed the whole of mankind."

So what`s Tony`s truth? Either he hasn`t studied the Koran after all, in which case he`s lying in an attempt to curry :) favour with Britain`s three million angry Muslims. Or he has studied it and knows what Surah 5, Ayat 32 and 33 really preach, in which case he`s lying in an attempt to conceal from fifty million patient Britons the deadly danger posed by Islamic fundamentalism to our pluralist democracy.

If Blair`s motivation is the former, he should consider the possibility that, far from pleasing devout Muslims by misquoting their Holy Book (which, to be fair, does also contain a number of very sensible and fair guidelines for creating a decent society), his act in deliberately "passing over a part of what is revealed to you" (Surah 11, Ayat 12) may actually give serious offence. For, as it is written in Surah 11, Ayat 18, "who is more perverse than he who invents lies about Allah?"

But, then again, why should we expect a pathological `b`liar to tell the truth about anything, even the wording of someone else`s Holy Book?

YOU WONT FIND ONE SOLITARY MUSLIM WHO REFUTES A SINGLE PASSAGE IN THE KORAN!

You do-gooders keep believing in what youre told by your government, while I will prepair for war in our homeland! (Defensively)
Its a windy night here on the south coast. Perhaps the anthrax spores are travelling north as I type this.

BTW: According to recent UK news, promoting religious hatred will very soon constitute a crime.

Do the passages from the Koran, I posted here equate to religious hatred?

I say they do. Will Clayts and Oates join with me in asking Blair to ban the Koran?

I`m sure Blair will act quickly to ban it.

Lesson over. :)

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

We are not blood thirsty!

By killing fundamentalist Muslims we will be saving many peoples of all faiths and those of none.

“Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you.” 9:123
“Seek out your enemies relentlessly.” 4:104.

RE: New Mico Celo 80 DVD Player - Best Buy!!

DeJaVu - The old Mico got best buy too.

Bloody review magazines!

RE: do you good people inU:K have220 v power? its a simple question....

My supply is 245V and it has caused the odd problem with my tv.

Also we are 50Hz (as in Germany) but with decent 3-pin plugs fitted to our machines.
Most DVD players these days utilise a universal 110-240V 50/60Hz power supply.
Make sure your DVD player has one too if Canada has a 60Hz supply.

RE: Mico Celo 80 -- Any news, rumors, anything?

I just rang up http://www.multizonedvd.co.uk for the hack and they wont give it out as it would INVALIDATE THE WARRANTEE. I expect you already know this.

Apparently RCE discs will work on multi-region settings.
Only Macrovision is the problem.

I have emailed Mico (China) and will post their reply here.

RE: Mico Celo 80 -- Any news, rumors, anything?

Aint eldritch a w*nker!

The MiCO A980 hack is: 7,7,SELECT with no disc in drive.
The MiCO A980S hack is 7,4,ENTER with no disc in drive.

If the Celo utilises a C-Cube 3.0 chipset, then the hack will most probably be X,Y,SELECT or X,Y,ENTER (with no disc in drive/or tray open)

X and Y being digits 0 to 9 (200 possible permutations). Try them all first.

If all this fails ring up the guys who sold you the machine. They`ll be able to tell you.
