RE: Whens the next Blockbusters 5 for £30 sale?

They`ve got one on now on their new dvds.

Titles include:

50 First Dates
Day After Tomorrow
Godsend
Garfield the Movie
Mystic River

If you mean the Pre-owned one where everything is included I dunno, but it goes round in cycles so probably can`t be too far off. Next offers change March 18th so keep an eye out then.

:)

RE: Going to see Green Day....

Saw them in Nottingham on Thursday - absolutely awesome, and yeah NFG were pretty good too - though they seemed to have a prob with their mike as the lead singer was pretty drowned out - but best gig I`ve been to

Absolute class

RE: SCREAM 4??????????

Seriously doubt it - Craven said he wouldn`t be interested in revisiting it after Scream 3, and although they could get another director it`d just be a load of crap. Should leave it as it is - although I love the movies, Scream 3 was pretty poor compared to the first two and I think people are fed up of masked killers stalking bimbos.

RE: SAW question. ***SPOILER***

Been a while since i saw this at the cinema but could he not have been in their like an outpatients appointment? Can`t remember what was wrong with him or if it said he`d been in there a while?

Just heard a song by Rooster - album any good???

Had TOTP on in the background and heard a song by Rooster called Staring into the Sun? Can anyone recommend their album - I liked what I heard and was wondering if it was worth getting - or are they comparable to anyone - thought they sounded a bit like maroon 5 (who i also like).

Cheers

RE: Can anyone recommend........

The Killers album is awesome - I never tire of listening to it!!

I thinks the only poor track is the last one, but tracks like Mr Brightside, Glamorous indie rock n` roll and Somebody Told Me are just brilliant - cannot recommend it highly enough.

Athletes` album is pretty good, but Kasabians` is awful.

RE: Since when have PG films had the F word in them!!????????

Nope. It was an R2, distributed by momentum with BBFC logos. As i say i was just curious, that`s all!

RE: Since when have PG films had the F word in them!!????????

Yeah defo. We rewatched the scene several times. Boreanaz gets something spilt on him in a restaurant and shouts - "S***! Goddamn It! F**k!" but the subtitles only say "S***! Goddamn It"?

Just curious more than anything though.

Since when have PG films had the F word in them!!????????

Just watched I`m with Lucy, some crappy PG rated rom-com with Monica Potter, David Boreanaz and Harold Ramis!! Near the end of the movie though David Boreanaz clearly says F**k. Now this doesn`t bother me, but what about parents who choose this film for their kids and they hear that - I wouldn`t be too impressed - the subtitles don`t include it but it is clear!

I was under the impression that the F word almost always results in a 15 cert. Just wondering if someone could clarify?

RE: Tsunami Benefit Concert

Manic Street Preachers, Snow Patrol, Embrace, Eric Clapton - Flagging careers???

A couple of the other acts maybe, but not all of them - at least they are trying to entertain people as well as raise money - they should be supported at least.

RE: THE TSUNAMI APPEAL

After reading the heart-breaking story on the front page of the Mirror today about the baby girl, and the countless other losses people have suffered over the past couple of weeks, I felt i had to give something, even if it is only the cost of a DVD - it`ll benefit them more than us.

Our prayers go out to anyone affected by this tragedy.

RE: Amityville Horror remake

Stars Ryan Reynolds (Blade Trinity)

People who remade Texas Chainsaw have something to do with it.

RE: PAUL ROSS! FILM CRITIC?????

Re underwater in space sequence - Alien Resurrection had one - that`s the only one I can think of! - He probably thought that was `the best underwater in space sequence ever!` too!!!!

As I said, he`s a c*ck - no bones about it

RE: PAUL ROSS! FILM CRITIC?????

The man`s a c*ck.

Everything`s fantastic, or the best "action/horror/family/sci-fi/rom-com/thriller" ever!

I work in a video store and 8/10 customers who see a quote from him on the front of a box take the p*** and put it back down!!!

BLOCKBUSTER 10% off weekend - and you don`t have to rent!!!!!!!

Went in this morning - got 10% off everything in store - including all the Bogofs on brand new games and dvd and the 5 for £30 on Pre-viewed DVD!!!!!! and this time you don`t have to rent!!

Noticed a brand new games Bogof which i hadn`t before which included:

Star Wars Battlefront
Tony Hawks Underground 2
Total Club Manager 2005
Spider-man 2

All Ps2 and Xbox

Thought it may be of interest?

RE: The worst bargain ever PS2 bundles at Game

Blockbuster got some in on Wednesday.

Got a slimline Ps2, chart game (Need for Speed Underground 2) and extra controller for £110 - not the best bundle but good considering availability issues.

Apparantly Gamestation and Game have taken too many pre-orders and cannot guarantee a delivery b4 Xmas!!!

RE: What was your favourite movie of 2004?

Probably Man on Fire or Saw - I feel both are really re-watchable

Butterfly Effect and Shaun of the Dead took me by surprise too.

Worst films of the year....

Van Helsing, Grudge remake,

All IMHO

RE: Blockbusters 5 for £30 back on!

Worth noting that these are ex-rentals (which are guaranteed and still an absolute bargain!)

Noticed today that Troy and Ladykillers have also been added.

RE: Daredevil: Director`s Cut...

Thanx for the info.

I really enjoyed the theatrical cut too despite its obvious flaws, but was a bit hesitant about buying this - some muppet told me it was gonna b like X-men 1.5 "Extreme Edition" but from what you`ve said I`m gonna order it now!

Cheers

RE: Club Dread, any good?

Yeah, i found it funny in places, but probably too long at just under 2 hours but some good stuff in there - human pacman!, and the tennis guy!!

Worth a rental

RE: Scream Trilogy DVD Box Set Region 2 - rereleased - why?

Probably re-releasing it to tie in with halloween.

RE: The Cheapest Star Wars on the High Street thread

Think the blockbuster offer is only valid in the north-west. Take in any 3 items to trade in and you are guaranteed £5.00 off the price of the trilogy (which is normally £29.99) so your best trading in 3 really crap vids.

RE: saving accounts

You`re going to save between 25-50% of your monthly income!!???

To be honest your better with something more managable to begin with that you are more likely to stick to, more along the lines of 100-150 per month, and bang it in an account with a notice period so you are not tempted to dip in. Get three months worth of salary in the bank, then forget about it (until that rainy day!), and start a pension with what you were saving.

I`m in the a similar position as you, earning about the same, and it works for me.

Hope this helps.

RE: movie stars

Tom Cruise
Will Smith
Clint Eastwood
Harrison Ford
Julia Roberts

RE: 24 Series 3:- what did you think? *****SPOILERS*******

I thought Season 3 was excellent. Far superior to Season 2 and not far off the quality of the first season. Yes the ending was slightly disappointing and downbeat - I was waiting for it to end on a cliffhanger and it never did - but as entertainment goes I don`t think it can be beaten - apart from maybe Alias.

Roll on Season 4.
