List of Changes:

    • Change #1 - Introduction <newline> <newline>You may already know that I think that QI is a superb mix of intelligence and comedy, mixing cold hard facts with supreme comedy genius. And that[apost]s a fact. A Quite Interesting one at that. <newline> <newline>In case you[apost]ve not come across it before, it[apost]s a panel game hosted by Stephen Fry, almost always with Alan Davies and full of quite interesting things and very interesting panelists including Bill Bailey, Hugh Laurie, Rich Hall, Jo Brand, Jeremy Clarkson, Jimmy Carr, Phill Jupitus, Sean Lock, Clive Anderson, John Sessions, Jeremy Hardy and more. <newline> <newline>Unlike other games, points awarded for being interesting and deducted for being obvious (and wrong). It[apost]s Alan Davies[apost] job to be the fall guy and shout out the obvious and wrong answers. <newline> <newline>One thing that is not Quite Interesting is that I was only sent disc 2 to review, so can only comment on that... <newline> <newline> <newline> <newline>[imgmc=0000178630.jpg|101247] <newline>Video <newline> <newline>A 1.78:1 anamorphic transfer, as first broadcast, and just as good if not better than that broadcast. <newline> <newline> <newline>[imgmc=0000178627.jpg|101250] <newline>Audio <newline> <newline>Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo, again as broadcast. <newline> <newline> <newline>[imgmc=0000178625.jpg|101252] <newline>Extras <newline> <newline>Some excellent extras here too (well on disc 2 at least) - some additional bonus facts (extra bits from the show), amusing out-takes, and an audio track (not a commentary as such) containing corrections and additions to the original broadcasts. <newline> <newline>The very special extra here is the chance to hear 3 versions of the song "Peter Cushing lives in Whitstable", a song mentioned by Alan during one episode. There[apost]s a QI mix, the original version by the Jellybottys and a new recording especially for this DVD. Fun. <newline> <newline>Finally, there[apost]s also the ability to hear the individual buzzer sounds from each contestant from each show, or as a montage. Odd, but mildly amusing. <newline> <newline> <newline>[imgmc=0000178624.jpg|101253] <newline>Conclusion <newline> <newline>QI is superb, and one of the very best programmes that television has to offer us nowadays. If you like any of the following:- trivia, mad facts, comedy, then you[apost]ll probably already be an avid fan. If you haven[apost]t heard of the programme (for some bizarre reason) then I suggest you check it out as it[apost]s just very funny. <newline> <newline>With a cast including some of the funniest people alive today, such as Bill Bailey, Hugh Laurie, Rich Hall, Jo Brand and Jeremy Hardy, it[apost]s a joy to watch.
