Ezydvd delivery times

malcy (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 18th October 2001, 12:06

My latest order from EzyDvd has still not arrived after 2 1/2 weeks. Given previous ones arrived in under a week, should I be concerned ? or is this normal.

Also if it is lost in the great post blackhole what are they like on getting a replacement sent out ?

Thanks

Malcolm

I had a problem with an Ezy order, and dropped them an email. Got an apologetic email back saying it had got "lost" in the system, and offering to send it via air mail, plus they sent me a free music sampler (the one that HMV are doing at the moment).

malcy what was the value of your order? It could be held in customs

dicanio,

it was approx A$70 so just over £20 thought this would be okay ?
Is it likely to have been stopped by customs, and for so long. Do they take them home to watch for a week !!!. Thought they were more interested in boxsets rather than 2 DVDs.

On previous customs declarations from EzyDvd they put the average value of the disks eg A$30 not the total order value. Also asked for it to be marked as gift if this has any effect.

Well, while I`m still waiting for my 2001 disks (and I accept this isn`t Ezydvd`s fault) an order for three James Bond films made last Tuesday (one was temporarily unavailable) has just arrived (Monday) ! Good on ya !

I`m still waiting for 2001 2-disk as well, but at least it`s not Ezy`s fault and we know when to expect them. Ordered Phantom Menace, posted 22nd and received yesterday 25th. 3 days from Oz, sure beats most of our companies!

I`ve always found Ezy`s delivery times amazing considering they come from Australia! They often seen to arrive quicker than some discs sent in the UK. They usually arrive in 3-4 days. If you`ve waited more then 2 weeks email them. They have brilliant customer service.

Delivery of ALL of my orders to date has been under 5 days.
Except of course Pre-Orders.
Please remember that most discs are released later than region 1 and 2 so check availability date when ordering.
As stated previously, 2 weeks! email them.

I ordered Romeo must die from ezydvd and it was dispatched on 29 sep I e-mailed them to tell them it hadnt arrived and i got this responce
Whilst the Air Mail service is generally very good, it is not unusual for international mail to be delayed and there are numerous reasons for delays. Sometimes an order can take one week, but at other times, it can take up to 6 or 7 weeks, which is of course beyond our control.

As you can imagine, thousands of items go through the mail system daily and can be subject to being mis-sorted and/or mis-directed, as well as possible hold ups in customs. I can also tell you that due to the recent terrorist activity all mail is being heavily scrutinised. Please check your local post office and customs agency thoroughly.

From past experience I am confident that your parcel will arrive soon, however at this stage we must ask that you give a little more time for your parcel to be delivered. Please let me know if there are extreme delays.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Regards
Toni
