Undelivered item from CD-WOW

For the first time ever, an item ordered from CD-WOW did not reach my letter box :(

Season 2 of 24 was shipped 03 Sept but there`s still no sign of it. As usual WOW have been very courteous and in an e-mail this morning, customer services said that normally they would send a replacement immediately but they have removed Season 2 from their site while they wait for more stock to arrive, and they can`t put a date on when stock will become available.

I`m not the most patient person in the world so I asked for a refund and surfed around for the next best deal. Play seemed promising at the same price as WOW but I can`t trust them anymore with regards to customs, so I plumped for ChoicesDirect - a few quid more but at least Gordon Brown won`t be getting more money out of me than he already is :)

You wouldn`t have to pay customs charges on a region 2 boxset

Play.com no longer offering refunds on custom taxes..?

Never knew they did offer refunds - they`d be out a fortune as their stuff gets stopped pretty often, does it not ?

I live in Sweden and when my first shipment got stopped by customs I mailed them about it. They told me to scan and email or fax the receipts to them. I did and was given a full refund of the custom-charges.

Two more shipments have been picked up (out of around 70) and I repeated the procedure above and was given a full refund within days both times.

I haven't seen any "advertising" about this refund, but according to the reply I got it`s a part of their policy.

I`ve asked CD-WOW about this as well, and they told me if a shipment were ever to be picked up by customs they`d happily offer a refund. But as they put stickers over the value it`s much less likely to happen than to shipments from Play.
