MPEG vs MP4

aja007 (Elite) posted this on Saturday, 11th October 2014, 20:28

I'm going to rip some DVDs onto a 128gb memory stick and was wondering what other forum members thoughts on which format to rip to...MPEG or MP4?

Your comments and thoughts would be appreciated.

Presuming you mean MPEG2 (as used on DVD) vs MP4 (which is MPEG4), these days definitely go for MP4. It gives smaller file sizes for the same quality and pretty much every modern device made in the last few years supports it.
