hi,anyone having trouble completing down loading update i keep getting error 8024200D i have tried and tried but will not install this last update can anyone help please,regards peter.

Do you know the name of the update it is having problems with?

I also got this error on my Lap Top. Happens when i try to manually install SP1 which it won`t do automatically for some bizarre reason...

hi,the update is KB947562 recomended 27/05/08 just installed vista 2 days ago,if you can help thanks,peter

Try installing the standalone update from here Your system is missing some vital updates and SP1 is very picky!
If this doesn`t work you may need to check your activation / key codes. You can re-instate the original key code by just typing it in and then re-running activation.

If this doesn`t work then it`s a reinstall I`m afraid.
