You need to right click on the adblock icon and select "List alladblockable elements" then look down the list for any .swf files and block those.

It`s best to block out entire domains that are just adservers, that`s what the wildcards are for. I.E. heres a short list from mine:

http://*.2mdn.net/*
http://*.atdmt.com*
http://*.mediaplex.com/*
http://*.adbureau.net/*
http://*.advertising.com/*
http://*.casalemedia.com/*
http://*.akamai.net/*

etc..

blocking domains is best, use the filterset.g addon with it to automatically do loads.

I tried blocking *.swf

problem with that is so many websites use flash for general navigation loads of sites stop working all together :(

Flash ones have a little pale grey tab attached to them that says "AdBlock"... well I think they do it`s been so long. Otherwise, yeah, block them through the menu.

Madness! :o If you don`t want Firefox you could always download a modified Hosts file to block ad domains.
