Don`t you get it from their site for as much as you want to pay (minimum 45p admin) and that`s it?
Then convert/copy over?
Great idea - will watch with interest.....

Yeah you can pay as much or as little as you want.Im just not sure what options are going to be given when it comes to download(if it will let you download directly to iTunes).

Well as far as I know it`s DRM free so what`s the issue?
Download it and add it to iTunes?

I think it`s quite a clever move by Radiohead. I imagine only established bands can really do this sort if thing but they`re really testing people`s mentality with the choice they`ll be given..
People who may well have just downloaded it may well respect the artists` `trust` and pay at least a quid or two. I imagine many people will actually pay a fiver or so - which is probably lots more than they would get from a record company..

Sure I read somewhere years ago that the artist only gets something like £0.50 - £1.00 per album cd sale so if the band are doing this directly then they stand to make a fortune as any fans (which i`m definitely not) would probably pay @ £5 even dabblers might pay £1 which should offset the freebies, which in any event are always out there to be had if you look hard enough anyway....they might just even convert a few freebie hunters into fans and then sales of their concert tickets and merchandise starts to increase...

I hope this idea takes off, it could be revolutionairy and make Rip Off Britain a thing of the past as far as the price of a cd album goes, not sure what the record companies/distributors will think of it though....as consumers we can`t lose but there may be a lot of job losses for the middle people in the industry but then that`s evolution for you!

apparently the charlatans are planning on releasing their next album for free..
the thinking is that people lap that s*** up, then pay to see them live, buy their t shirts and all that s***.

Probably wouldn`t be a good idea to do this on DVD, because if people had the choice to pay for some of the s*** that comes out they`d pay 0.01p for it.

I don`t know, but that`s what makes it so funny. You been watching Season 4?
