Page 1 of Can I ? MP3 to Car stereo.

Just bought a cheapie MP3 player. Can I play this through the car stereo with one of those cassette adaptors, that you plug into CD players and put the cassette into the tape unit of the car ?

Simple answer - yes :)

If you do not have an MP3 player, a cassette adaptor and you have a car radio cassette, this unit looks a good buy for car and portable use.

Cheers for the replies - it works like a dream. Had a cassette adaptor lying around from a CD player and hooked it up in the car. An MP3 player for £23 for the car !

How Big Is The Memory, Where Did You Buy It And Does It Have A LCD Screen?

The memory is 256mb flash memory ( big enough for me - 4 hrs use, and doesn`t jump like a hard drive player ). Bought off Ebay for £10 - £23 when P&P/insurance included. Yes it has an LCD screen - all in all a brilliant little player for a tenner. You can get 512 and 1gb for £35 all in and £50 all in. Its exactly the same as the MPMan player in Dixons.

On a similar note, is it possible to plug an iPod into a CD car stereo? Possibly though one of the inputs???

Can`t you tune in the radio to a station so you can play your ipod through it? I don`t own one but I thought you could do this.

I thought that you could get a device that could plug into your headphone socket of any player (MP3, CD walkman, etc) and via radio link connect to spare channel on car stereo (Radio)? Is this available, what is cost and does anyone recommend a good unit to do this.
Or am I fuzzing memory again.

Try a search on ebay for FM Transmitter - for a tenner, you `ll get a gizmo that does the job. Just looks like your standard mobile phone in-car charger.
