Page 1 of Does anyone else have a problem with DVD boxes.

I hate all the DVD boxes, they all suck ass. I break out in a cold sweat ever time I have to lever a disc out of a box. You should have to use 10 fingers to remove a disc cleanly, but I do. You shouldnt be able to bend the discs, but you can, easily. You shouldnt be able to scratch them off the bottom of the case, but it might happen.
I see these all as major design flaws that get me so angry I have to break things to realease tension. I dont see what was wrong with CD cases to be honest. Is there a way round this? What do YOU the viewer feel about this.

I`ve heard that some people have lost fingers trying to rip the Walking with Dinosaurs DVD from its box !

Personally I don`t have a problem getting the discs out, just push the holder in gently and out she pops, in theory.

No, my bugbear is actually getting the bloody cases open - I mean, should I really HAVE to use a crowbar, for crying out loud ?

CD cases rule - don`t take up so much space, but they need to do something about the holders. Come on, Blazing, admit it - how many CDs have you got hanging on for dear life by one pesky little plastic clip ?

I agree. What we need to do is cross-breed the two. We need the tough plastic off the dvd uns and the size and ease of use from the cd boxes. I would be happy then. I think the whole scene is just an evil plot to encourage you to break discs so that you have to buy replacements, thus more money into Mr Bastard executive`s pocket.
Its the same with the controllers off N64s. They have a "lifespan" so that you have to keep replacing them all the time. Damn everyone is evil.

You could once you get them out of the box, put them into a cd wallet?

Playstation disc holders are the best I`ve found.

Little bit larger than cd holders in thickness, which means room for a decent booklet and they are engineered to be kiddie-proof, so no broken bits......
