PVR recommendation

Mike J T (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 24th January 2007, 23:20

After coming back from a weeks holiday and finding the pile of video tapes left for me my mum (recorded my programmes) I think the time has come to get a hard drive recorder. Anybody recommend one (or advise any to avoid). Im on a budget but would like to get a reasonable sized drive freeview Twin Tuner.

Have a look here, though remember with pvr they are not perfect and niggles here and there. For the big budget people

Topfield tf5800 and humax 9200t are at the top of there class, avoid the new topup tv ones at the moment loads of problems

I have a topfield, excellant machine with the use of programs called taps but holds its price, Also like the humax really easy to use. Also visit digitalspy forums big community there.

Yep, stick with Topfield and Humax - best of the bunch. Top quality kit. Humax is my preferred brand but there`s not much between them.
