Page 1 of Region 1 Shrek and LG3350E

Anybody had problems playing Disk 1 with this machine. Trying to establish if the disk is faulty or the player. It plays the Dreamworks intro sequence then dies on me. Funnily enough Disk 2 is fine!

It also locks up on a DA-3520 and a DVD4710 but works ok on a Samsung 709 and my PC DVD drive (Toshiba I think). Have you also noticed that the Disk 1 is silver and Disk 2 is gold?? If it plays on my samsung I would expect it to play on just about anything else!!

Yes, locks on my LG3350 as well, BUT, if you press the Menu button on your remote as the disc spins up, it will by pass the dreamworks logo and you`re in.
Press it like buggery though!

Thanks sanejo for the tip. My AIWA XD-DV370 had same problem, locked after the Dreamworks bit, i actually sent it back to Play 247 and got a new replacement, minus the fuji sticker but still locked out, however following your instructions, 1 press of the Menu button , during the Dreamworks intro, takes you into the Menu, its faster too cos you bypass the dreamworks sequence as well..........yayyyyyyyy!!
