It`s okay i found that the hack for the Limit DVD9900SE works on this machine.

RE: The Limit dvd800se

I have seen the thread on page 2 and seeing as i have the 127xxxx model,as you put it ,a serious bodge job then perhaps you can recomend a really good player as a replacement

RE: The Limit dvd800se

Yep Clayt`s and yeah i know i can put another player into it but how much messing about is involved and which player is best throw in it

The Limit dvd800se

My original player, the Warfedale M5 has finally packed in altogether :(

Time for a new player and i`ve been looking at the LimitDVD800se which has had great reviews and i want a player that i can connect into my exsisting 5.1 system.

Has anyone got this player or any other recomendations

RE: NTL speed increases - Again

You should have it by now.

Have you tried turning off your cable modem for 2mins then switch back on.

I had to do this to get the upgrade

RE: DAB receiver for PC

Right i`ve found it and it explains it here,i`m afraid it has a 4gb limit and there`s nothing you can do about it unless it`s sorted in a driver update:-

RE: DAB receiver for PC

I can`t seem to find out exactly why it should break it up into segments.

I have found that if i record a half hour progam it uses around 800mb of hardrive so i`m wondering exactly how long a film you trying to record,4gb seems an awful lot of space for a film.

I`ll set mine up and record a film and see how much it`s using

RE: DAB receiver for PC

I`ll get the laptop out later and scour the programme, hopefully i`ll find the problem

RE: DAB receiver for PC

I`m pretty sure in the options tab on the control panel that there is an option as to how long it will record,so it could be that it reached it`s time limit and then split the recording to start again.

Worth checking it.

mines set at 224minutes but can be less depending on hardrive space

RE: DAB receiver for PC

Yes Mike i`m using XP,seems odd though that it`s greyed out on your system.

only problem i`ve found with the new driver is that i have no sound on the cbeebies channel but i do on the 2.2 driver(weird)
Not that i`m bothered about that ;)

RE: DAB receiver for PC

Mike you need to enable the remote in adjustments (options tab) :)

You can also change how much CPU usage is used :)

Off now to watch Little Britain on BBC 3 :)

RE: Looking for a new DVD player

online is my usual option these days

RE: Looking for a new DVD player

Price is always a factor, but i also like a bit of quality so i`m looking mid-range

Looking for a new DVD player

My Warfedale M5 seems to be on it`s way out but i`ve had it a few years and it`s been well used.

What`s the best multi-region player about at the moment, i also want it to have 5.1 decoder built in like my M5

RE: NTL Speed increases. Have you had yours yet?

As far as i know it all starts 1/8/04.

The customers with set-top boxes will have to wait as the users with a separate line in will get there`s first.

Basically the hardcore broadbanders will all get upgraded first :D

RE: Aldi bargains from 1st July - DVD+/- writer £60, 160GB hard drive £70, digicam £90...

i`ll pop down and see if the drives are 7200rpm tomorrow,i`ll pick one up if they are :D

RE: Anyone remember Flashback?

Yep Flashback was a fantastic game :D

RE:

mmmm,difficult thread this one.

I would have to suggest that if we are talking classics then we can`t leave out the original 1931 classics "FRANKENSTEIN" and "DRACULA"

mainly because i remember watching these when i was a kid on a Saturday night BBC 2 double bill

Remember them, every weekend a Horror Double Bill during the Summer,i used to love `em

Imagine being in a cinema in 1931,they had never seen anything like this before, must have been real scary :o

RE: Anyone tried the UT2004 demo?

A BF1942 beater,i very much doubt that,i played the demo but it looks very strangely like Halo, not on my shopping list,i think UT has run it`s course

On my shopping list for March are BF Vietnam and Far Cry ;)

RE: Whats best to clean a TFT PC screen?

I just use a damp cloth once in awhile when it gets grubby marks on it.

works a treat :D
