My Broken I-Pod

James Clews (Competent) posted this on Monday, 5th December 2005, 19:45

Hey fellas...and ladies.

I`ve had my I-Pod since about March this year but its gone and f***ed itself up. All I`m getting is the Sad I-Pod Icon, followed instructions from the official site to set to data mode...that didnt work. Still shows the sad I-Pod icon.

What should I do? Send it back to Apple to fix or back to Argos where I bought it? The problem is I`ve mislaid my receipt...I have my B`Card statement though.

Any ideas on what to do? Has this happened to anyone else?

Back to Argos personally........I`ve had items up to 10 months old go wrong & they`ve exchanged them with no problems.
Good luck ;)

Find out if there is an Apple shop near you and book an appointment with a `genus` (i think thats what they call them) - they`ll have a look for you for free if it still is under warranty.

Thanks guys.

I`ve managed to get it working again now. Managed to get it into data mode and reset the whole thing, currently putting all of my 5273 tunes back on the I-Pod...gonna take some time!
