Page 1 of Sony IDTV Firmware Update help!

HI,
I own a sony KD32 DX40. I need to know when the next update for the firmware is!
Or is there anotherway to update my telly?
I can no longer use the epg!

I keep checking the DTG`s website but I have not yet seen one.
Sony have not been too helpful either!

What do you mean you can`t use the EPG?
I`ve got the 32nx200 and since they `upgraded` to the 7 day planner it`s so sloooooow.
And often hangs the TV so I have to turn it off :-(
Where`s more info on the firmware?

press blue
press detail set up
press system info

tht gives you your version number

But mine is the oldest!
I need BETTER TELLY!

Yeah, I know how to check the version. 3.21 I think but haven`t looked for a while.

When I try to use the "EPG" it locks up the telly!
I have to turn it off and on again!

Its a buuger

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

Please allow me to apologise for the delay in replying.

It is my pleasure to advise you that we now have a confirmed date for the
broadcast of the over air software upgrade. This will take place between
10.00am 25.11.04 until 9.00am 28.11.04 and the new software version umber
will be r3.50

In order to receive the upgrade you will need to have the TV set to a
digital BBC programme (it can be any channel, but must be BBC) for a minimum
of 2 hours throughout the day. The software will be upgraded whilst you are
watching TV and will not affect your viewing.

I hope this information is of assistance.

Got 3.50 firmware on. :D
And it seems great.
Hasn`t locked up at all and TV guide is pretty much instant without having to wait for all the programmes to load. :D
