dvd on ancient tv?

hongkong_uk (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 13th March 2001, 19:04

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a dvd player to an old 14" portable? I want to be able to play dvd`s in the bedroom as well as the lounge and there is no scart socket on the back of the tv set. If not, this means I will have to get out of bed! ;-)

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it`s possible.
I haven`t got a scart socket.
As long as you`ve got av input sockets
you should be fine.

And if you haven`t got av sockets, you need to get an rf modulator. This will take an av input and output it as a `normal` tv signal using an arial socket. I thnk there about £20 from maplin.
