I have the 535on my short list tobuy, but now find out that it is to be discontinued as of NOW!! Ifyou are a owner please advise if the reasson to discontinue is due to unrealiabilty problems or not?

Thanks for the vote of confidence Daz ;-)

Looks like you bought into the Pioneer after your "Pioneer 535 Mayby ?" post then ?!

I`ll look into the withdrawal of the 535.

I got the 530 from www.multiregionmagic.com (my misses likes silver) and the picture quality is excellent. Ive owned and tried several other machines in the past and this one beats them all hands down have had no trouble with it at all.
Plays evey disc i throw at it RCE etc even my non standard vcd`s i made myself (studio mp10, 3000 bitrate) .Music is great.Though it wont play mp3s. so what, and i dont have to bother with any of this firmware bullshit that certain other brands have(scan anyone).

Hi Happy
I dont know where you got your info from but the Pioneer 530/5 are still on the Pioneer uk and europe sites as new products. There was absolutely no indication that these models are to be discontinued quite the conterary in factso i think you may have been missinformed for whatever reason. Also i have a 530 and for the price you will be hard pushed to find a machine with picture and sound anywhere near the Pioneer let alone as good. Hope this has been of help to you.

The 530 and 535 have been discon`ed for about two months.

Trust me, I work in Retail.

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!
(apart from needing chipped, and noisy drives, they`re good machines though!)
