2.14 Plays those tricky Disney R2 disks OK! Yes!

It is supposed to be `VCR friendly`.

Some people claim a picture improvement.

Seeks faster from the remote control.

This sounds like great news - I wish Scan themselves would keep us all as well informed.

There are two versions of v2.14 going around. One is from the french site, and one is on my site from Nelley himself.

Nelley doesn`t know where the French guy got his firmware from, but I used the one Nelley sent me and I can record DVD`s okay.

I haven`t any Disney discs, but others say they are playing fine with v2.14.

Nelley,
I seem to remember you giving a URL on your site for firmware etc. Am I right?

I can confirm you that the R2 Disney disks is solved by the firmware 2.14 . In fact I can now play "Alice in wonderland" correctly again.

However the skipping problem in Fantasia 2000 remains.
I spotted two regions where it occurs very often :
0h 58min 10s to 0h 58min 20s
1h 05min 28s to 1h 05min 36s

When such a freeze occurs I hear the DVD drive doing seeking noises. Something strange happens then. Because somebody else said that his Fantasia 2000 had the same problems I don`t believe this is my disc which is faulty. I have this problem from the very beginning; using this brand new disc.
