VCD films on cdr?

Can any one tell me why the Warfedale 750 will play films on vcds cdr, when the Grundig GDV210A or Proline 1000 won`t?
they are all basically the same machine..any ideas.. is there a way to make them play cdrs

You have to make sure that the dvd player is cdr compatible otherwise it won`t play cdrs

Also many players will only play `proper` pressed VCDs in an attempt to keep the copyright mafia happy.
