Budget DVD home cinema?

Kierdog84 (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 19th October 2003, 16:07

Bought the Lenoxx 600ht from safeway but am taking it back because they were charging ALOT more here in scotland than English stores, also the remote control keeps on stopping working!

Anyone know of a good DVD home cinema system with Radio, DTS, (all the usual for) under £150 that delivers good sound and picture quality and a good power output.
(lenoxx 600 was awfully noisy with fan, id like a quiet system with no noisy fan)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kierdog,
Can't help with the system choice but I too have the Lenoxx Sound HT600 & the fan noise is starting to get the better of me also. :(

Can't say that I've noticed the remote control problems that you describe, but I have noticed the player occasionally turn itself up a notch. :o
I could live with this but the fan noise sometimes is a little intrusive especially if you are watching something that has lots of quiet parts.

Apart from the fan noise the player is excellent value for money. (99.99 in England)

Regards.
