Hi Lisa

Are you talking about the LENOXX SOUND HT 600.

If so have you been playing more than Region 2 DVDs in it. I.e can it play REGION 1 and is i there fore multi-region and not in need of a hack???

Can anyone help?

Has anybody found the multi region hack for the Lenoxx 600 Home Cinema DVD yet? I have just purchased one from Safeway for £99.99 and it is great, but it would make it perfect if i could find the hack for it.

Thanks

Hi,
I also have the Lenoxx Sound HT600 & for the price it seems a good system, especially as it's easy to hack to multi region, thanks to the guys on the forum :D

I have noticed however that the small cooling fan makes it a bit noisy.

The instructions make reference to a humming noise from the cooling fan (bottom right of page 22) but the way this is wrote gives me the impression that the cooling fan shouldn't be on all of the time. The fan on my system IS on all of the time, is this the same on your system?

At the moment the system is just sitting on the floor in front of the TV unit maybe when it's placed inside the unit the noise won't be so noticeable.

Regards

Thanks to those who found the hack, I`m going home tonight to try it out.

In reply to "uncle buck" my cooling fan is on all the time as well though I only notice it if there is a very quite section in a movie and I happen to think about it. I don`t think it`s loud enough for me to take it back to Safeways or to call it a real fault with this system. I intend housing it in a cabinet which should mask the sound altogether.

Cheers all

Hello all...

Thanks to the positive comments on here I decided to go ahead and purchase the Lenoxx HT600 at the weekend and in general am happy with it. However, I have a couple of issues with it and was wondering whether they are unique to my player. Hope someone can advise...

When playing MP3 files the first couple of seconds are often cut off the track though if you rewind it will play them. This is on both VBR and CBR. This also seems to be the case for the first track on some audio CD`s.

JPEG images are displayed with NTSC style borders and so image ratio is slightly distorted.

When adjusting the individual speaker volumes in Dolby Pro-Logic, the rear speakers do not seem to retain settings when you move through the menu to the next speaker. It would seem that although it allows you to adjust the vol. seperately, they default back to the setting of the louder of the two (does the above make any sense?!?!). This is not the case in DD or DTS though. It would be handy to have seperate volume control so as to compensate for uneven speaker positioning.

The built in tuner seems to need a strong signal to be of any use as often it seems to lock on to a signal, only to play buzz and hiss.

I would be interested to hear of other`s experiences.

I have put a similar post on DVDRhelp.com and would recommend people post on there so that users may compare compatibility notes etc.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Regards
