LG 3350 TV probs?

mb500mark (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 27th January 2001, 13:25

I got my LG player last week. It is superb and the macro off (techtronics) feature seems to work as well (I`ve only got one scart cable so I haven`t used it much yet.)

One problem though (it may not be though.) I can`t watch TV at all when the player is switched on. Is this normal? I just get the DVD picture scrolling from left to right on the screen with the brightness alternating (and going green occasionally). Bit annoying.

Also, I`ve only got a 20 pin scart cable. Is it worth getting a 21 pin cable?

Thanks,

Mark

you can purchase a 3 into 1 scart lead gizmo from argos for £9.99.
i also have an lg 3350 and i found this an excellent solution.

Yep this is due to the nature of the RGB output bypassing the tuner.

Don`t suppose you fancy taking the lid off and having a look at the modification (or even better taking a piccie)?

Sorry Troll, I would but there`s a `warranty void if removed` sticker on the back of the case. I can`t really afford to..

I KNEW it!!!
There must be someone from Techtronics reading these boards!!
That`s the first I`ve heard of such a sticker from them!!

But anyway...I might buy one from them just to find out HOW they disabled it...

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!

I had the same problem and fixed it by using the `TV Output Select Menu` and switching from Composite to SVideo (or maybe vice-versa).

Hope that helps,
Andy.
