Page 1 of DAEWOO MULTIREGION HACK HELP

I have read the hack on the hack for making the Daewoo multi-region but I may be making a mistake. When I get to the hidden service menu, I have chosen US as country - Is this correct for r1 titles?
Also what country code is bypass?
When you have selected US what do you need to press then. It says to press save but the daewoo remote doesn`t have a save button. When I put R! disc in I still get WRONG REGION message. I have disabled macrovision but I am still having no luck playing r1 discs.
NEED HELP - PLEASE!!!!

You need to go into the service menu and select "Bypass." This will then play anything. You also may want to call Daewoo and get them to send you a new machine, "free of charge" because the picture quality has been improved !

Thanks for reply but I thought I was in the Service menu - Where you turn the macrovision off etc. but I saw no bypass mode could you give me a clue as to where it is? All I had was two letter country codes and there was no bypass in there. Am I in the right menu/ place?

it depends on what firmware you have! it seems that there´s no region and macro option on new firmwares! you have to enter OPEN SETUP 9 3 0 1 0 to bypass region! u can check by pushing OPEN SETUP SHUFFLE STEP NEXT (secret menu) on the remote, scrolling to DEBUG item and have a look if 9 is checked.

Thanks I`ll give it a try on Thursday - I must have old firmware as I went to the secret menu and disabled Macrovision - but having no joy with multi region.

Which model of Daewoo do you guys have? I purchased a DS2000D at Xmas but cannot seem to find any reference to that type anywhere.
I have seen the 2200HC model and it is definitely not the same one.

I am not having the same picture problems as some of you guys seem to be but then again perhaps I am not too fussy?
