bought lg3350 sunday.every time i turn player on the tray comes out a couple of inches then goes back in.is this a fault or just a way of checking if theres a disk in? also in the black areas on 16:9 films shown on non-widescreen tv there are faint diagonal white lines similar to if the brightness is up to far but its not. if this is a faulty player i want to get it back to c*rrys b4 7 days is up, for refund.otherwise pleased with it esp. the picture & sound, but still wondering whether i should have got lecson as have just seen first negative views on lg 3350 on the "general" forum about private ryan & other disks.

I`ve no experience of the LG machine but would suggest taking it back anyway if you`re at all in doubt especially if you only have a limited time to make a decision.

you have 28 days to return a faulty player for a replacement with "those people"
And it sounds like a fault, but there was a post last night about an Aiwa doing the same.

I`d say it was faulty though, get a changeover!

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!

Yeah Jimbo`s right, there was a posting of the exact same fault on an Aiwa just the other day. This behaviour is not normal at all! It isn`t an ex-display model is it?

I too am using a non-widescreen TV and there are no diagonal lines. Definitely take it back but also definitely stay away from the Lecson/Wharfedale.

thanks for the replies guys.
no, ittroll it`s deffo not an ex-display, brand new, sealed in box.
yes jimbo thanks, I know about 28 days if faulty but i wasnt sure if theyd class it as fault so i was going for 7 days return policy if youre not satisfied which i know they do. i used to work for peasy world.

goldeneye, dont listen to the likes of troll when he disses the lecson this guy is a short arse who goes around dissing the lecson when he has never owned one. he has had a wharefdale in the past and is convinced the two are the same THEY ARE NOT. the lecson does not have the disk playing probs that the wharefedale has the lecson also uses the zoran chipset as do more expensive high end players like the arcams.

i would reccomend that you see demos of any machine before you buy this includes the lg and the lecson

The tray problem is a fault but the lines are "normal". Get it replaced with another 3350. You wont regret it.

Ordered my player from Dabs on 9th of jan. canceled on 17th bought my
3350 from currys £60 more but iv`e got it....

Boy am i impressed, 5.1 decoder works a dream, picture fantastic, hack worked first time..

As for the line problem, i had this problem on my tv(tryed on my brothers no problem), if u flick the switch on the back to pal, then disable Pseudo Pal, turn the player off/on and the lines go away....
