Is the Acoustic Solutions 321 a good bargain player?

Richard_lench (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 9th January 2003, 20:17

I`m looking for a new budget DVD player. Got my eye on a few models (everything ranging from Cyberhome Yamaha to Toshiba). Is this a good machine for the price? Any links to a review if possible?

Thanks

For less than £70 what on earth are you expecting? Superb picture quality and sound? It costs less than a mainstream video player for goodness sake. If you want that little bit extra then you have to pay a little bit extra. If you really enjoy watching films, then anything less than a Tosh SD220e is a waste of your hard earned dosh (IMHO).

yep go for a tosh

i have one of those mustek yukia super drug acoustic soloutions dvd players

the super drug model, the one i have will play just about anything you throw at it and it will go macro free to so you can hook it through a vhs
recorder IF YOU ARE SHORT ON SCARTS AT THE BACK OF THE TV.
but i have to say it is the jack of all trades but master of none, as it glitches and stutters at any imperfection on a disk so rented films a no no

dont waste £70 invest another £50-£70 buy some quality

as suggested by others

i wish somone would have told me this two months ago.

Ok thanks. Tbh I was leaning towards the 220 anyway but thought the AS might have been a good player. If it was comparable to the Tosh then I`d have chosen the 321 but apparently its not
