CUPRA (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 20th December 2000, 12:32

WHEN I SWITCH FROM VIEWING SKY TV TO DVD PLAYBACK, I HAVE TO CRANK UP THE VOLUME QUITE A BIT TO GET THE SAME SOUND LEVEL ON THE TV WHEN PLAYING A DVD, IS THIS NORMAL OR NOT ?.
CONNECTION IS BY SCART LEAD FROM DVD PLAYER TO TV.
HELP !!!!.
TV IS A PANASONIC WIDESCREEN , AND DVD PLAYER IS SANYO, DOES THIS MATTER OR NOT ?.

Try checking the sound level on your SKY Digibox (in the SERVICES menu) and DVD player (SETUP menu) as you may have the Digibox set too high or may need to adjust the DVD player setting. You might have to try it out a couple of times to find which one needs adjusting, but I think this should solve the problem.

Martin.
