liteon dvd recorder - DD-A100x - recording NTSC VHS to DVD

Hi all
I`m hoping someone can help. I`m a bit of a novice and just wing my way through technical things but have now got completely stuck.

I`m in the UK. I`m copying my old VHS tapes to DVD and have some music videos from the USA (NTSC).

I have a TV with an in-built VHS player that plays NTSC tapes and have connected this via scart to the Liteon - I am trying to record the VHS to DVD but keep getting a message on the Liteon recorder saying "Wrong signal type".

I have used the hack to make the Liteon Region Free but this doesnt help.

Can anyone give me a clue?

Thanks!

Probably way to late but I have linked up my A100X to a standard dvd player.
I too got the "Wrong signal type" message.
Sadly this a  protection signal meaning you can not record from another dvd disc or video recorder.  I do have other sources I record from but was hoping to use the A100X as it is pre digital tuner, all it is good for now is a playback only machine.

Thanks from: RJS
