Page 1 of Wharfedale 750 -- encrypted region 1 discs

With Warner Brothers starting to putting an encryption on their new region 1 DVDs disc, does anyone know if the Warfedale 750 will be able to play them????

Unfortunately it seems that the Wharfey is one of the few budget players so far that IS affected by the encryption (RCE). For a full debate about what is and what isn`t suggest you have a looksee at either http://www.dvddebate.com or http://techtronics.com

Seems odd when you consider it is a remote hackable player. If you look on any of the forums on this site the Wharfey is cropping up rather a lot at the minute (eg Warners v Tesco is a good thread to read)

I`m sure you can get a mod done somehow, somewhere

I tested a Wharfedale 750 with "The Patriot" and it worked fine ... I also made a Macro mod whilst I had the machine :)
