try this , i think it has worked for me

Insert a DVD and let it start to play
Press Stop
Press Menu
Press Stop
Press Bookmark
Press menu
Press 597 then Exit

this is exactly what i did and my player now goes through my vcr.

But im not sure if it is this hack or if its my new vcr.

please report back if it works/doesnt work
