Page 1 of Technika DVD 108 from TESCO (New Model)

Has anybody bought one of these machines yet and found a region hack for it?
Same price as 300 model. Wondering if the hacks the same too!!!

Surely someone has bought one of these and found a hack for it???

looking for a hack for the technika dvd108 anyone got it?can get in to secret menu but the hack i have dont work.

Well I have just found the following hack, which I tried on mine and it let me select Region 0. Unfortunately I don`t have anything but Region 2 discs here with me, so I can`t test it until tomorrow (it still played Reg 2 after the hack). Be grateful if someone could try it with another region disc and get back?

1. Turn player on using button on the LEFT hand side of machine.
2 . Open tray
3. Press setup on your remote control
4. Scroll using the right arrow/directon button until you reach the preference menu
5. Enter the code 49540 on your remote.
6. A Grey box should appear with the words Region code 2 in it
7. Use the up/down arrows on your remote to select region 0
8. Press setup
9. Turn machine off with switch on left side

it didnt work for me - when I tried it, I got to the region code and it was blocked out in yellow/green and could not be altered. Did you run into that whilst you were trying?

I had a technika 1020 before this and the hack you are using is the same one.
It worked a treat on that model so feeling rather gutted that I dont seem to have any luck with this one - any ideas to help me out?

I just bought this DVD player (Technika 108) from Tesco this morning, and I have input the hack above and for me it works perfect!
I set the region to 0 and have been able to play all my imported R1 DVD`s!
This is a great little player and I would recommend it to anyone!

I don`t know what has happened to yours - I can confirm that the hack above worked on mine (I didn`t discover the hack, I found it eslewhere on the `net) - converted it to R 0 and it`s currently playing a R 4 disc as I write. All I can suggest is you ask Tescos to swap it for another model?

Tried the hack on mine this morning and it took about five attempts with the numbers before the region screen popped up. Selected O and now works fine. Thanks for the information guys.

maybe the problem with some of the players is there software version might be different
I also can not change region on my dvd 108. my version is

I`ve just bought this model. Can it play VCDs since it plays CD-Rs? If not, is there a hack for it?
