Page 1 of Daewoo DS-2000D

Anybody know of a region hack for this Daewoo player. I`ve never even seen this model mentioned on any websites. It looks very similar to the ALBA 103 with an identical remote, but it isn`t region free.

I have just purchased a Daewoo DHC2200 and used the hack for the Scan 200 which works absolutely perfectly. I reviewed a great number of players before purchasing and so far, I am absolutely astonished at its performance for £175. I have yet to check out CD and MP3 playback though. All the Best. Jaxon.

it cant be made multi regional, because i used to have one and i put it back to the shop cos i wanted a milti regional player, see if you can get the one jaxon stated from argos!

Don`t go near a Daewoo 2000 cos of the pixelation problem. Just send it back to Argos and get a refund.

I am confused, is the Daewoo 2000 different from the 2200 because i have looked around this forum and the 2000 gets slaughtered !
However I havent noticed any picture problems. But if someone could give me an example of what i am looking for i.e which discs show the problem, i would be grateful. Thereafter i will return it to the supplier, not Argos (they havent stock) and replace it with erm . . . ....? ? ? ?
I want permanent multi region, macrovision disabled and MP3 what should i go for ? ? ? The Aiwa seems raved about but no good if you cannot bypass the Macrovision. Please advise anyone.

Take a look at sphere during the underwater scenes and checkout the blocky picture....not sure about the diff between the 2000 and 2200, where did you get the 2200 from???

I havent had a chance to get a look at sphere yet but i will. However i have noticed that, on dark scenes, the pixels seem to swirl around.
(On fight Club) but it also happens on the Toshibas, Hitachis and Pioneers in the shop where i got my Daewoo, so i guess thats what you get from sub £200 machines. Any ideas ?
Otherwise it seems reasonable.
