Page 1 of Philips 570M Hack???

Hi Guys:

I recently bought a Philips model 570M DVD player a yrear ago in HK.

A year later having some problems. Tried to Play The Movie Aliens 20th Century Fox. Region 1 It would not play. Tried this disc on 5 other players in the neighborhood no problem.

Watching the X-Files season 4 region 1
On my player. after about 20 minutes of watching the player stops and I get a disc error message.

This Player is suposed to be Multi region and I have been playing region 1 and 2 discs off and on.

Thoughts on what I can do to fix this????
