Moving to britain for the nhs

What do you all think of families that move from abroad or wherever into the UK to get better medical treatment on the nhs ?

Is it fair or right ?

Well, good luck to them.. At the moment the UKs finest is desperately scrabbling around to find the results of a test I recently took.. Not a big deal really until you consider the fact that the test takes one whole month to complete.. and then, apparently about three hours to lose..

Although I dont agree with the notion of `comin over here, abusing our system` etc, I do think that maybe we should be trying to sell the idea of a welfare state to other countries- so that they have a similar system in place and so that Passport carrying, NI paying Brits get first access to healthcare without it all getting a bit racist etc.

@Whoot - I know how you feel. It took them over 3 weeks to confirm the mrs didnt have leukemia and then a further month (maybe 2) and another 2 blood tests (after they lost the first lot) to finally confirm what she had.

Thankfully, shes ok, but if she hadnt been, thats a f***ing big window without any treatment.

What im listening to (if youre interested)

NTG.. glad about the missus.. that must have been a nightmare for you both.. A lot of unnecessary stress - kinda makes you want to throw a bench through a window..

Its not so bad for me, we know I have/had cancer, its just a question of which kind..
These tests are to determine whether its a genetic thing, or whether I am indeed a 40 year old woman who worked in the nuclear industry.. If only the lottery odds worked in my favour like the obscure cancer ones did!

I have to say that once I was diagnosed (incorrectly it seems) in the first place they whipped me into hospital and whipped the offending item out as soon as possible.. If I have any complaints it would be that the hospital was a s*** hole, and the food was disgusting...

Actually, when I think about it. The fact that I have to have another tests to determine what kind I have means that it has taken one year to work out what kind of cancer I have.

Jeez.. if I had one of the hardcore ones I`d be f***ed.

slightly back on topic, I couldn`t see where my NI payments were going, the facilities were terrible.. I can`t imagine what alternatives would send people over here?.. a drunk man with a rusty axe wearing an apron???

The NHS is f##king s***, i`ll take my money back from the taxes I pay and go get treatment abroad. The NHS, like this country is run by f##kwits.

2 years and counting for a snapped ACL , I`ve come around to the fact that i`ll never do sports again.

f##k em all !!! glad i got that out !

Send them all to Leicester Royal. They won`t come back as they will either be so dismayed as to how it could be so bad when they had heard such good thing about the NHS, or they will be dead.

Dr 42%er.

It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....
