Page 1 of compensation for terrorist attacks

Just read that families of victims of the 7/11 attacks in London will get £11,000 in compensation from the government.

Now while i have every sympathy for those families affected, what is this about? Is this an admission of some sort of failure on the governments part? If not, i don`t see why they are responsible.

If you get mugged are you eligible similar of compensation. What about the family of Anthony Walker, will they be getting £11,000?

I also read here http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_rush_limbaugh.htm that the average compensation payout for 9/11 was $2,000,000. With 3,000 victims, even if only half of them claimed, that`s three billion dollars!

What are peoples opinions on this?

It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

I wouldn`t like to say for sure, but it sounds like a fail-safe in case a victim or family member went running to an ambulance chaser and set precedent against TFL or the respective borough council for a hell of a lot more than 11 grand, thus cueing a potential landslide. I`m very likely wrong, and frankly I hope I am.

Any victim of crime is offered compensation the amount varies on what loss / injury they suffered. Every so often it gets in the press because they get offered a low amount for a tragic loss / event. However, I have reservations about the whole process. I think that the funds come from recovered `proceeds of crime` rather than the taxpayer.

The massive compensation offered to the families of the 9/11 victims came with strings attached. ie with the proviso that any signatories would waive their rights concerning any future legal action against their guilty govt.
Much more than $2,000,000 could have been paid out from the Saudis, had it not been for U.S. traitor, James Baker offering to defend the Saudi Royal family against any litigation from his own countrymen. >:(
A disreputable action, but necessary to conceal what really happened on 9/11 and who was really behind the attacks.

£11,000 (there`s that illuminati `11` again) is a disgraceful figure which you can thank the Blairs for. Bliar and his govt are responsible for the lowering of all compensation payouts to levels that would insult the intelligence of any victim.

There is a great case for massive govt payouts to the London bombing victims by taking the culprits (M.I.6. and the Blair cabal) to court.
Chief of Police "piggy" Blair has told us all that the bombers may well have been set-up by their controller "Aswat" to unwittingly carry the bombs.
Hence no "Allah u Ikbar" shouted before the bombs detonated.

Of course all state sponsored terrorism is carried out this way. The double-agent goads the patsies into acts of terrorism, while the authorities create the cover by holding identical exercise at the very same time in the very same locations, should the bombers get caught.

Urban Legends web sites are other disinformation sites that will not correct the obvious lies concerning govt conspiracy and 9/11. Best not to take them too seriously.
