Page 1 of Bargain Buckets forum

Anyone else noticed the shocking number of "Where can I find the cheapest Spam?" requests appearing on the Bargain Buckets forum? It`s becoming as much of an information-free zone as the Region Hacks forum! :(

Bargain buckets is being ruined by people asking as opposed to finding and also by people posting bargains which aren`t bargains... i.e. when bought with CD-WOW voucher. That`s like me saying bargain, got my shopping for free at tesco when I paid with my £30 worth of clubcard vouchers. Who really cares if someone used a voucher, why do people spunk in their pants with excitement that they think they were smart enough to use a voucher and, for that matter, who hasn`t used these vouchers? Twats.

I do try to kick as many of these posts out as I can, as they annoy me too. They normally get bounced off to the forum to which they belong (ie "Cheapest (insert DVD title here) ?" belongs in DVD/Movies, "Which cheap TV ?" belongs in Hardware, "Which ISP is cheapest for bradband ?" belongs in PCs, etc, etc...)

The bargain forum is for the posting of bargains you`ve found not ones you want to find and can`t be bothered to research on Google or DVD Price Check yourself. Sheer laziness.

Of course, if we don`t catch them all there is a little clickable link at the bottom of every forum page - contact moderators. More and more people are doing this, as Dan, the Wester and myself aren`t patrolling every hour of every day, although Robert does back us up and receives the moderator e-mails too.

Just a little more care in posting in the most appropriate forum is all it takes, although it isn`t too onerous to shift them to be fair (unless people haven`t updated their e-mail addresses....but that`s a grouse for another day :))

Just a thought, why does it say "new" next to all the forums on the left of the screen? Most of these forums have existed for years!!!

Do you know you can mark a forum as read using the `this forum` or `all forums` links in the top(ish) right?
