HELP !! ..... MIDI Sampler/Surgeon required for creating Nokia Ringtones

Does anyone know of, or can anyone suggest a program for trimming/sampling from existing MIDI files in order to create ringtone loops for Nokia phones (3100/6100) ..... I have a number of complete tracks in MIDI format, but would like to sample smaller chorus sequences etc to use on my phone...... A program similar to mp3 surgeon would be ideal ... all suggestions welcome......8-))

I have a Siemens phone at the moment and use the Siemens Data Suite which is available as a free download on their website. I know yours is a Nokia, but the Siemens also use midi files, so I guess you could use the Siemens Suite to edit your midi files, then put them on the phone using your normal method.

The Suite has a ringtone editor in it, which lets you choose only certain tracks from the music, or only choose a certain part of the song for your midi file. This is handy because I found some midi files with too many tracks to them, are too complicated for the phone and don`t sound right. So I only take the basic sounds from it.

You can get it here.

Mark. :)
