why is there never a pro war demonstration

Fozzy_Bear (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 20th March 2003, 12:17

how come all us pro war people never have a demonstration(if we did i did not get the memo) to show our support for the war. i think we should have one or two to show some public support for Tony. Who is with me on this.

Fozzy...I think the best thing you can do to support the war is head off to the Gulf area immediately!..I`m sure our forces will appreciate the effort you made. No point in enjoying all the warfare sitting safely in front of a TV when you can experience it for real :-)

1. because war was almost inevitable - people do demo`s to moan about something, so why the hell would there be one? People who think war is the correct decision have nothing to moan about.
2. No-one is really pro war, because war is not a good thing although it is sometimes necessary.
3. The war has begun, so people should stop whining and support our troops out there. The decision has been made and there is no going back now.

Alan i dont think they would appriciate my help as i would most likely wet myself and hid in a cornor if i did go, that is why i am not in the army and ready to fight my self. i will fully admit to being scared of a situation like that. My demo idea was to show very public support for what the majority of the government is doing.

AlanT, You can`t say if you support the war then the only way to do so is go and fight!

Thats like saying the anti-war brigade should be standing outside the places they`re bombing right now to show their protest!

yes I can Deano....I can say anything I want....although, it was fairly obviously a facetious comment which was deliberately set out in a semi-flippant style. Unfortunately, some people take things SO seriously in this place. But, as you have claimed several times elsewhere on these threads, you will respect my opinion adn not take offence that someone may hold a different opinion to yourself :-)..there`s a good lad.

"yes I can Deano....I can say anything I want"

Hopefully a luxury that will be available to the Iraqi`s after this war eh Alan? I`m sure you`ll agree that`s something worth a fight about? I`m not naive to think thats what this all about but maybe this will be a welcome biproduct of this conflict for the poor sods who`ve had live under the iron will of this rampant psycho all these years.
Just my opinion which Im sure you`ll respect?
Theres a good lad.

Hey AlanT, Did you not see my use of !!! to reply! I didn`t mean it to sound as if I was serious... honest guv!

Kcab - yeah I know they did, and they should`ve stayed over there!

Talking of protests, etc... What I`d like to know is why did those protestors up in Leeds block roads and so on? "in theory" they could`ve stopped an ambulance from reaching a destination? I thought these people cared for life? "in theory" they could`ve caused loss of life?

Complete prats!
